I often mention Swagbucks when I am talking about Amazon Deals, or when it’s Friday and I’m reminding you that you can search and earn big, but I wanted to share a few of the basics about Swagbucks for those of you who are just starting out.

1. Swagbucks is completely free to sign up for and use. I have personally been using Swagbucks for around a year and it has never cost me anything, actually I have been surprised at what I have been able to earn just for simply searching.

2. You earn “Swagbucks” by doing searches online.The results are from Google and Ask.com so you will still be able to find what you are looking for. As you search you will randomly win “Swagbucks“. Typically I have found it’s easy to win at least 1 Swagbuck a Day in the first 2-3 searches I do.

3. Redeem Swagbucks for Amazon.com Gift Cards! This is my favorite part about Swagbucks, it only takes 45 Swagbucks to get a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card.

What can you do with $5 on Amazon?

• Free Magazines!!!! Amazon.com runs $5 Magazine deals each month, these do not have shipping or tax, and you can get some great items.
• Last year we saved all our Amazon.com Gift Cards for Christmas, this just took a little stress off our budget and with all the great deals on Amazon around Christmas time we were actually able to buy several gifts at no cost to us!
