What’s your Shopping Secret? It’s time to spill… Let me know what you do to save even more while you’re shopping!
Here are my shopping secrets. Things that make my life a little easier and save me even more!
- Always shop the perimeter of a store. Did you know that Target puts clearance items on along the outside walls of the store? Shop this area for the best hidden deals!
- At Walgreens I Always check out in cosmetics! These cashiers tend to be more knowledgeable and helpful and I don’t feel like I hold up the line.
- Know your Cashiers. Become friends with the cashiers at your favorite stores. I have some cashiers that I know because I always shop the same time and the same days. They get excited to see what deals I can get and how much I can save.
Your turn, Leave a comment and let me know what your Shopping Secret is!

1. Before going to the store, do some research on your own about the sales. Many times, I’ve seen sale info on the Internet, but NOT posted within the B&M store – but when I’ve done a price-check there, it does turn out to be on sale. (I think some B&M stores sometimes do not have sale signs up, on purpose, so that those items do not get wiped out quickly by shoppers.) It pays to be informed and do your own research on sales.
2. Although sales cashiers can be helpful – there is also the opposite side of this.
a.) a cashier might not know of the sale; and then when they do, they spread the word among other store employeees – and those employees grab up the sale items.
b.) if a sale price almost seems ‘too good to be true’ – an employee can alert the store manager, who in turn, can then act in a way to limit the sale and items available.
Overall, I like going to the store being informed, done my research, and then QUIETLY go about my business of buying up my sale items and using my coupons. It can be better to be quiet sometimes.
