The idea behind Cisco’s Valet Wireless Router is that the user does not have to know much about computers or understand how wireless routers work in order to set up the router and set up a computer to use it.  The Valet comes with a USB key that you plug in to any computer you want to use on the wireless network and it does most of the setup for you.  It is really easy to use.

In order to set up the Cisco Valet, you hook the Valet up to power and to an Internet connection.  Then you plug in the USB key to the computer that you want to setup.  It will do the rest by running a program off the USB key.

The Valet is a Wireless-N router which provides high-speed access.  It even sets up security automatically.  Overall, this is a really well designed product.  It allows experienced users to configure advanced options if desired, but hide the details from most users.  As the name suggests, Valet is tailored to the user and that is something you don’t see very often in technology items like routers.

The Cisco Valet is perfect for the Tech-Focused Dad who wants to add wireless connections between computers, printers, and gaming devices.
