Hey Everyone! Today is my birthday and I am honored to share with you a guest post by Liz over at Hoosier Homemade. Liz makes AMAZING Cupcakes and she designed these cupcakes just for my birthday so that I could share them with you. Aren’t they adorable? I absolutely love them! Thanks, Liz!
A little birdy told me that “someone” has a birthday today! Happy Birthday, Heather!!
Birthdays are always very special! And having Birthday Cupcakes makes your day even more special!
These fun Cupcakes are not only easy, but can be used for any age. You will need…
- Cupcakes, of course
- Buttercream Frosting…I used Pink and Green Wilton Coloring
- DumDum Suckers
- Wilton Rainbow NonPareils
- Wilton Colored Sugar
Directions:
After cupcakes have cooled, and you have colored your frosting. Place frosting in a Decorator bag. I used a 1M Tip (my favorite) to swirl on the frosting.
For the suckers: dip a DumDum sucker in water and sprinkle on Nonpareils and colored sugar, gently push sucker into cupcake so that it holds firmly.
I found these fun Ice Cream Glasses at Dollar Tree, I couldn’t pass them up. I love how they match the cupcakes! I filled them with Raspberry Sherbert and more sprinkles.
A girl can never have too many sprinkles!

June is my (another Heather) birthday month too… and it used to last a month. Then I had a baby 3 months ago and it was fathers day month. I guess it’s an OK tradeoff.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
