Wow! Amazon has just dropped the price of the Kindle to just $189! This is down from around $250 so it makes this much more affordable in my opinion. Also, Amazon frequently offers Free Kindle Book Downloads so you can get some great titles for free!
Now, this isn’t the most frugal purchase in the world, but I have always said that I love great deals on great products and this falls into that category! If you know someone who has had their eye on the Kindle then this might be the perfect time to buy.
If you aren’t ready to pay for the Kindle just yet, then you can download the Free Kindle Software for your PC, iPhone, or iPad and still take advantage of all the Free Kindle Books that are available.

Although it is nice that the price has come down recently, there was a recent story on cnn.com that Kindle e-book reader prices might come down to about $99 by the end of this year.
So you might still wait awhile and see what the price will be in 6 months time.
