I’ve got another great giveaway for you this morning. Good Earth Dinner Kits are a great way to keep your family eating healthy even on those days when you just don’t have time to prepare a meal from scratch. I’m thinking with School coming up and all those extra curricular activities starting back you will want to have a few things in your pantry to avoid the “Run to McDonald’s after Soccer Practice”.
Good Earth Dinner Kits are 100% Whole Grain, Contain No Trans Fat, and have No Artificial Flavors, Preservatives, or MSG. All you have to add is Meat and you are on your way to Dinner in just 30 minutes.
These kits come in 4 flavors: Mediterranean Chicken with Angel Hair Pasta, Spicy Citrus with Glazed Shrimp and Angel Hair Pasta, Herb Crusted Chicken with Mushroom Risotto, and Tuscan Chicken with Penne Pasta. We got the chance to try the Mediterranean Chicken and it was yummy plus I just love that these are ready to go when you can’t decide what to make for dinner (Or you don’t want whats on your meal plan).

Like the person who said cereal for dinner, oatmeal makes a good emergency meal as well, especially if you use milk instead of water and add nuts (protein) and fruit.

i use crock-pot a lot
When I cook, I try and always make extra so I can use it later in the week. It is easier to make homemade meals when you already have a lot of the ingredients together and ready to go!

Quick tip: Make a double proportion size meal and freeze the second half, or use it for a meal for the next day.

My favorite tip is to menu plan! Before I go grocery shopping I plan out what I’m going to be making each night of the week. I take an inventory of what I have in my pantry, fridge and freezer and then build meals around that. I get inspiration from the store circular, my cookbooks and online resources like myrecipes.com. Oh yeah, and other blogs too!

Chicken in the crockpot is the best tip that I can give for meals!

My dinner trick is to make most of my meals “semi-home made”…buying some of my products pre-cooked or prepared (like veggies already diced) saves me a ton of time when I’m trying to make healthy dinners for the fam on weeknights!

Although it’s probably not the healthiest, but I’m fortunate enough to have children who will eat cereal for dinner. We do that a lot during the fall months when sports are going on. Thank you!
