I was eating Kellogg’s Raisin Bran last week, reading the box, and noticed it said “Product of Mexico,” at which point I seriously thought about spitting it out, but didn’t. I Googled it instead and found that the original Battle Creek, MI, plant was decimated as Kellogg’s moved part of their operation to Toluca, Mexico, about 39 miles from Mexico City. There is still a plant in the Mid West somewhere. I checked my new box of Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, and the wording has been changed to “Distributed by”…just so you know. I’m sorry if I offended anyone by this post, but I think people would like to know where their food is coming from when it’s no longer labeled.
