Do you want to know how to remove gum from hair? I have always heard those stories about kids getting gum stuck in their hair and in all honesty we survived about 6 years of kids without gum getting stuck in anyone’s hair, I think that’s a win for Mommy right there! Until…. That Day…. When my little girl woke up with Gum in Her Hair!!!
It’s probably my fault because she fell asleep in the car the night before and we carried her to bed not realizing she had put gum in her mouth. She slept all night tossing and turning until the gum was Stuck… Like really stuck, and smushed and there wasn’t just a piece of her hair with gum in it, it was an entire section of her hair with Gum Stuck in it.
So, I rounded up my Gum in Hair Fighting Tools and crossed my fingers that something would work. I was ready for a battle when all of the sudden….
It just slid right out! What???
Yup, that’s right. I put one thing in her hair rubbed it in for a few minutes and all of the sudden the gum just slid out in one piece! With No Hair on it. No Tears, No Cutting, Combing or anything!!! I was Shocked!
So if you ever find yourself with a kid who has gum in their hair, my secret was Coconut Oil, just rub Coconut oil in the hair to remove gum from hair and that’s all you need!
I have always heard Peanut Butter, which I have never tried, but I think the trick is the oil in Peanut Butter which is why the coconut oil makes sense!
