3.) Use Your Smart Phone
One of the new Trends in Saving Money are Rebate Apps. My Favorite is Ibotta because they offer SO MANY awesome Rebates on Produce and Items you are already buying. These are called “Any Brand” Rebates and they allow you to get Cash Back on your purchase of Any Brand of Apples, Oranges, Bananas, Milk, Eggs and so much more! You can download the Ibotta App Here to get started.
Here’s a List of Current Any Brand Rebates available in the app:
$0.25/1 Oranges
$0.25/1 Red Bell Peppers
$0.25/1 Butter
$0.25/1 Bananas
$0.25/1 Milk
$0.25/1 Tomatoes
$0.25/1 Eggs
$0.25/1 Onions
$0.50/1 Shredded Cheese
$0.25/1 Avocados Any Brand
A Few Tips for using the Any Brand Rebates:
- Buy smaller quantities unless you need more, For example buy 1 Avocado and that $0.25 rebate will be a higher % savings than if you buy 3.
- Price Match + Stack Rebates. For example I combined the Any Brand Rebate on Oranges with a Price Match of Aldi’s Oranges and paid LESS than Aldi by shopping at Walmart, Price Matching and submitting these Any Brand Rebates. Aldi doesn’t have Ibotta rebates so you are sometimes better off price matching so that you can double the savings with Ibotta.
- Use Multiple Apps. You can actually submit your receipt to multiple rebate apps, this means you can get DOUBLE the rebates on some items. For Example if Checkout 51 and Ibotta both have any brand rebates on Milk you can submit the same receipt to both apps for double the savings! 2 of my other favorites include Saving Star and Checkout 51
What tips do you have for Saving on Produce? There are so may options out there, these just happen to be my go-to strategies for saving on a consistent basis! We also love shopping in bulk, hitting up the Local Farmers Market during the summer and buying at Warehouse stores. What is important is to know your Price Per Unit so that you can easily compare prices between Grocery Stores and Warehouse Stores to see where your getting the best deal!
