Hi Heather,

LOVE your site! While learning couponing, I have visited several different sites, but I always come back to yours because it is the most informative and well organized site out there. In fact, I have passed it along to my couponing friends.

I do have a suggestion, though… I printed out the “Coupon Strategies” slides (that you kindly provided as an accompaniment to the Couponing 101 classes) to include in my coupon binder for quick reference. Unfortunately, the font is so tiny that I find the info within the boxes difficult to read (and I’m only 49, not 109!). I tried enlarging it to 125%, but since it’s in PDF format the printed copy is still the same size. Can you enlarge those please? Maybe removing the lines on the right side (for notes) would help.

FYI – my antivirus program is telling me that there is a virus (trojan) trying to download every time I access any of your pages. It is probably coming from the ads on the site. I have been using the site for several months. This started just 2 days ago.

I live in North West Tn. Our local weather man uses coupons and has a bolg. he has posted about free paper towles at kroger, Ive printed my two here is his site…
thesavingweatherman.blogspot.com….maybe you can look at it and post on facebook. I also have one question…. if i have a bogo coupon and a fifty cents off for the same product can I use both if i buy two products? I have tried and been refused, If im not suppose to I won’t try again.

Why am I suddenly able to print more than 2 copies of a coupon at SmartSource.com rather than the limit of 2 as usual? I was just printing a coupon for Dole Canned Fruits and after printing I am redirected back to the page of coupons. After the second time, I noticed that it didn’t say that I had reached my print limit or even remove that item from the list of available coupons. So I selected it again and printed. It has been the same over and over. Now I am up to 10 successful prints of the same coupons and still no Print Limit message. What do you think is going on?

WALGREENS DOES NOT HOLD UP TO THE POLICY I WENT IN WENT COUPONS FOR BUY ONE GET FREE AND THEY HAD IT BUY ONE GET ONE 50% off cvs gives you the higher price but walgreens will not hold up to what they say here in the south

I watch that show, too. What episode was it? I’m pretty new to the idea of couponing myself (I’m only 16), but I’m doing fairly well. Maybe it was a store that allows overage (the value of any coupon exceeding the sale/retail price is applied to the other items or given as cash back)? For example, she bought those 40 items worth $39.60, but also bought other items with coupons worth $19.60 more than the value of those items. That would make the final total $20. Hope that’s not more confusing. :)

I am so eager to jump start my journey into SAVINGS! I’m a newbie who is yet to walk into a grocery store with coupons. I’ve never used them in my life! I was watching extreme couponing the other day & the one thing that I don’t understand is how a couponer would get 40 of the same product supposedly pay $ .99 each after sale & manufacture coupon in addition to her almost $300 grocery shopping but after all coupons have been scanned, she walks out paying less then $20. Now mind you as I mentioned earlier, 40 of the same items at $ .99 each equals $39.60. Please help me do the math here. How is it that she can walk out paying less then what she would’ve paid for the 40 items? Please reply & help me understand.

First off, love your blog. I live in Fayetteville, so I love that I can find some local deals. I also like how I can go thru spurts where I really follow whats going on, then life gets busy and I don’t bother much for a month or so, and then things settle down and I can jump back in. The way your site is set up, it really makes it easy.
I did want to offer a suggestion for a section that I would really like to see. I’m sure you know that a lot of couponers have been doing this for less than a year and therefore don’t know when items come “in season” as far as coupons and sales are concern. It would be great if you could have a “Coupon Wisdom” section so us newbies know when to stock up on razors or cold medicine or any other item that doesn’t necessarily follow the 3 month rule.

At my nearest Walgreens, the policy on B1G1 free sales are that if you have a B1G1 free coupon, you end up getting the product for free. If it is a B1G1 50% off sale, then with a B1G1 free coupon, you only get the item that is 50% off for free, therefore there would be no point in using the coupon paired with that sale in my opinion.

Terri, I just read your post and wanted to respond. I’ve worked for Walmart for 15 years, and I can tell you now, every Walmart has different prices. The associate at that store that told you that was wrong. It depends on the local competition. A store in a large town has to stay competitive with all of their competition, therefore lower prices. A small town store that really has no competition will usually have higher prices. It’s not fair, but that’s how it works. Lots of competition will almost always lower prices. Also, different regions, due to cost of living, often have different pricing. But I’m glad that they took care of you! I do want to say that we are not supposed to ad match other Walmarts because of that reason. And I applaud your use of couponing to donate to people who need it. I’ve been couponing so that I can donate to Blue Star Mothers. It’s nice to be able to help others with our couponing, isn’t it?

My Walmart had Aveeno 50SPF sunscreen, originally $9.97, on clearance for $1.50. I used the Aveeno coupons for $3 off of 2 and got them for free! How can I find if coupons are valid here and how it works? I use here the few ones that appears a few times a year in a booklet that Procter and gaamble gives, and the walgreeens shopper, but not enought to save as I saw in extreme couponing. Hello. I am fairly new to couponing, and just last week found your site and signed up for it. I cannot thank you enough for all the work that you put into this site!! I check my e-mail everyday and your site and am amazed at all the work that you put into this. In our area there are no price match up sites for store sales (other family members in other states get e-mailed price sale match ups so they can just go to Walmart with the info in hand), so this takes me a great deal of time just to do that; but it is wonderful to be able to check your site for the latest deals with your coupon match ups to the stores.
