October was SIDS Awareness Month, and even though October (And Most of November) Has come and gone it’s never too late to talk about the best way for your baby to sleep. Halo Sleep Sack has a great list of Safety Sleeping Tips for Babies to help avoid SIDS. You can Check them out Here!

Halo Sleep Sacks provide a great alternative to blankets, especially for the active sleepers who tend to come uncovered in the middle of the night. Recently Halo sent me one of their Early Walker Sleep Sacks for my Son to try. At first I was really worried that he might not like it, but I knew that Winter was coming and that he often comes uncovered when sleeping, so I was looking for an option to keep him warm over the next few months. Here are a few of my thoughts on this product:
- Contrary to what I first thought, My Son actually loves this product and asks to wear his blanket every night before bed. In fact one night it was being washed and he was really upset that he couldn’t wear it. He also sometimes asks to keep it on in the mornings while he drinks his milk.
- I love that it stays on all night and I don’t have to worry if it’s cold outside. Plus there is plenty of room for his pajama’s so I’ve been dressing him like normal and then using the Sleep Sack in place of a blanket.
- The Zipper on the front of the sleep sack zips from the top to the bottom so my Son can’t get out of it on his own.
Really, the only thing I thought you might want to know about this product is that the sizing might be a little big. My Son fits exactly into the sizing for the XL Walking Sleep Sack, but it’s a little long for him and there is plenty of room. I’m thinking he will be able to wear it for at least a year, which is great because then I don’t have to find a new solution next fall.
If you are looking for more information on Halo Sleep Sacks you can check out the Halo Website. You can also Become a Fan of Halo Sleep Sacks, or follow them on Twitter.
My Honest and Humble Opinion: I can’t wait for you to try this product. I think you will be surprised at just how much you love it! I thought it was a great idea, and loved the concept, but I don’t know if I will ever get my Son to sleep without one now. I never dreamed that he would love it so much, and you guys know I don’t say that about every product. I am already registering for the Original Sleep Sack for my little girl, I can’t wait to try that one out too!

Today I want to share a product with you that has become a necessity and a time saver in our house. Lovable Labels provides Dishwasher and Microwave safe labels for just about any purpose.
Originally when my Son was born I used the standard Masking Tape and Sharpie for labeling his stuff, however I soon learned that it was a daily or weekly task to keep these things labeled. After a few “notes” from the Childcare workers at church I decided to order some of the Slimline Sticker Labels with his name on them. I have been using these stickers for over a year now and even the ones on his bottles are still legible and in place and I wash these in the dishwasher frequently. I have used these on everything from Bottles, to Wipes Cases, Pacifiers and so much more. It’s also saved us money because we haven’t had to replace all those lost cups, bottles

I have been spending a lot of time working on trying to decide what I want to do in my nersery. When my son was born we ended up painting a design on his walls. What we quickly learned was that our walls are textured to the extent that it makes it hard to use painters tape to get a straight line, and it takes a lot of patience to get the lines striaght. There is just about one thing that I know of for the little girls room. I am only painting one solid color! My Solution for text and graphics:

Sticky Words Vinyl Lettering. This is an online company that specializes in providing easy to install Wall Art. They do custom designs, but they also have a great selection of pre-made designs in a variety of colors and sizes. With my Son’s room we actually ended up at our local vinyl sign shop to get the verse we wanted put on his wall after we learned it would be too hard to paint by hand. The Vinyl graphics on the walls are my favorite part of his room because they look so clean and precise!
Right Now you can get some great prices and some great deals at StickyWords.net on Wall Graphics, Quotes, and Verses during the Annual Year End Sale! Almost all of the pre made images are on sale! Here are a few of my favorite bedroom designs:
