I Can’t Print Coupons from Coupons.com!
Here’s another great Question that I receive on a weekly, if not Daily Basis! I thought it would be helpful to answer these on the site so that everyone can learn together. If you have a question you would like for me to cover make sure you use the Contact Form and send me an email, or leave a comment on this post!
Today’s Question:
Help! I can’t print Coupons from Coupons.com (Or RedPlum.com or Smartsource.com)
This is a Common Problem and one that I myself even deal with on occasion. The first thing you need to do when you are trying to print Coupons from Coupons.com, Redplum.com or Smartsource.com is to make sure you download and install the coupon printer. These are completely safe, I have used all 3 of these sites for over 2 years now and have never had a problem with using this printer software.
The Printer Software Download will show up when you try to print a coupon and this is not installed on your computer.
Here are a few common problems with printing coupons:
- The Default Printer isn’t Ready – Make sure you set up a Default Printer. If you have a PDF File Writer or another device set up as the default printer then your coupons won’t print. If you have a Multi-Function Device like a Printer/Scanner/Fax Machine make sure the Printer is the default not the Fax Machine.
- Change Oporating Systems – This is the solution that almost always works for me. If I have problems printing coupons I can typically switch from Firefox to Internet Explorer or from Internet Explorer to Firefox. Typically the problem is that the Software for Coupons.com hasn’t been updated to work with new (Or Old) Versions of the browser so changing can be an instant fix.
- Check your Printer – Your Printer may have items that failed to print and those could be causing a hold up on your current coupons.
Also, remember that Coupons can reach their limits very fast and some sites like RedPlum.com or Target.com are not as fast about removing these coupons, so you may try to print a coupon that has already reached it’s limit and have problems.
Do you have a great tip for Printing Coupons? I’d love to hear it! Leave a comment and let me know!

How do you print from an android device

I have a mac with the new software (lion) upgrade. I’m in the circular pattern where it keeps telling me to install the software printer, which I’ve done 7 times “successfully” Will the right click in Finder solution work, or am I in the category of won’t work, ever? SO frustrating

I’ve had this problem on and off and coupons.com “help” doesn’t seem to be very helpful at all. The one thing I discovered that did work was to “allow all pop-ups” in my browser at least temporarily while printing coupons. Many of us have ad or pop-up blocking software or settings (because those things are annoying) that are causing the problem.

I have a laptop running Windows 7 “64-bit” I use Internet Explorer 9 “64-bit” and Google Chrome. I have been going crazy trying to print coupons from Coupons.com. Finally I tried opening the sight in Internet Explorer 9 (without the 64-bit – I assume that means it is 32-bit). I remembered I had problems with other sights and that is why I have both IE versions installed on my PC.
IT WORKED!!!
You can install the 32-bit version from the IE website if you don’y have it already on your PC. I hope this is helpful.

I’m new to the coupon game so this may be a silly question. Can I not print the same coupon from various sites? I thought I could print a coupon from couponmom.com and then go to couponsuzy.com and print the same coupon. It never works for me. It says I’ve reached my limit :-(

Hi Krystal, those coupons are all Coupons.com coupons so when you print from Coupons.com or any of the three, you have printed from the same company.

I just found a solution from the apple website, at least for safari. Right click on the Safari application in the finder, and go to “get info.” Check where it says “32 bit mode.” Then quit and restart Safari, and try printing again. Since I was able to print on my old macbook pro, and not on my new imac with Lion installed, this makes sense because it downgrades the program. Hope this helps!

2 weeks ago Coupons.com stopped working for me. I’ve tried reinstalling the coupon printer multiple times, updating and reinstalling the printer drivers, updating and installing newer versions of Mac OS 10.6.8, including the update and Safari updates. Nothing seems to work. Help please!

I have a Macbook and have been just as frustrated as you all with trying to figure out how to print Bricks and Coupons.com stuff. However, I think I have finally figured it out. If you have a printer that only saves or prints PDF files then the site blocks you from printing the coupons. It is not always a matter of web browser or the installer. In my case, it is the capability of the printer itself. I figure that these sites only allow you to print the coupons if you can get your printer to print in a format other than PDF. Unfortunately, my printer is an HP photosmart printer/scanner combination and converts everything to PDF in order to print it….as a result, no coupons.
If you want to see if this is the case with your printer (and you also have a Mac), try printing something by clicking “file” and then “print.” When the window pops up asking how many copies you want, the quality etc… look down at the lower left hand corner of the window and there should be a pull down button with “PDF” written on it…If you click on it, it will show you all the available options for printing formats that your printer allows. If every option involves PDF then sorry….you are out of luck like me :( But at least you know why now.

Oh, my goodness! Your post has been by far the most helpful & detailed I’ve been able to find! I also have a HP Photosmart printer & thought I was going crazy ~ I’d checked pop up blockers, installed files, verified the printer worked, etc. and yet NOTHING was happening. I knew I had the option of doing PDF, but didn’t know that EVERY option was PDF. THANK YOU so much!!
Tina
Oh my gosh. THANK YOU! I have spent so many hours trying to figure out what’s wrong with my computer when it’s been my printer the whole time!! I have a Lexmark all-in-one and it does only print to PDF. Finally, an answer to my problem. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

My netbook doesn’t have a place for the disc that comes with the printer. I bought a printer and had to take it back because of this. That’s the main reason I wanted a computer to begin with was to print coupons. Once in a while I was able to request a coupon by mail, but this doesn’t work for all coupons. At the bottom of the page when you go to print the coupons , it will say “help”. You can click that and it will say “still can’t print” and click and a form with name and address will appear to fill out. It takes about a week or so to get them. Not all coupons will allow you to do that though so then your out of luck like me!

Sadly I think that I also have to give up on printing coupons from coupons.com! I have tried downloading their software, uninstalling and doing it again, firefox and internet explorer (along with uninstalling and re-installing them) and still no luck! I had no problem until a month or so ago and now no luck :(
Surprisingly I have no problems with target coupons, so we are back to getting a weekly paper and target shopping …I wish there was a fix that worked for my computer!!
Thanks for the ideas though!
Wendy
Thanks so much I could never print target coupons, after reading this I switched from internet exp. to firefox and now I can print :) Yayyyyyy!

I have a macbook pro and I can print coupons from bricks and coupons.com. Sometimes it won’t print but I change the letters in the link and it works. See the info below. Hope this helps.
First, Many links are browser specific:
I already change any links for readers using Internet Explorer (IE) or FireFox (FF) as their browser. These are listed as printable (IE) or printable (FF).
If you run across a link surfing the internet here’s how to change it yourself:
A Link:
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=zarmedj79203053&bt=vg&o=59668&
See the “vg”? That is one little part that makes this link only work in Firefox. If anyone tried to print it in another web browser it would sit on the “sending to printer” screen indefinitely.
Want to make it for Internet Explorer?
Change the “vg” to “vi”
Want to make it for Safari?
Change the “vg” to “xs”
Sometimes the link will have a “wg” this works the same, just change the “wg” to “wi” for (IE) or to “xs” for Safari.

Thanks so much! I have been having problems trying to print off the mac!

How do you print from coupons.com on the MacBook??? – it’s a direct link to the printer and I always get an error about the cups.pdf.
I’ve tried changing the links too – that has been on the Apple discussion pages, but it’s still never worked for me either. Whatever configuration I have that is preventing me from using these sites, it’s beyond me.
Tammy
Sorry…I’ve never got the error about the cups.pdf. Maybe I’ve just got lucky!!

I had this problem with RedPlum suddenly out of the blue. Their technical support team had no solution that worked. I finally uninstalled all versions of the coupon printers and Firefox. Reinstalled Firefox and then went to redplum and it worked fine.

I have given up printing from coupons.com on my laptop. everything was going fine until a month or so ago and then it decided I no longer have the driver installed. I have now uninstalled and re-installed it 5 times to no avail. It’s disheartening.

I have a MacBook Pro and we can’t print coupons from any Bricks site or Coupons.com. We’ve done tons of research, but it’s a problem with how these programs are written for Macs. We had to buy a crappy slow $50 desktop computer from some teens on Craigslist – but we can print coupons on it. Go figure.
