I don’t care for black or red beans, can I use pinto beans instead, maybe ranch style beans?

I’m assuming you throw in cooked beef to the crock pot?

    1. Passion For Savings says:

Yes! I always Pre-Cook my Ground Beef when I get it home from the store then I have it in the Freezer Ready to go so that recipes like this are really as simple as they look!

  5. katelyn says:

did you drain the beans and corn?

    1. Passion For Savings says:

No, you won’t drain any of the canned ingredients. They are for the liquid in the soup. Enjoy!

  6. Belinda says:

How many servings will this make?

  7. Jeni says:

In some of the pictures I’m seeing rice but didn’t see it in the directions

    1. Passion For Savings says:

I normally serve it over rice, it’s just an option if you want to do that! You can serve it with any side that you prefer.

  8. Aaron says:

I turned this into chilli after a first pass with the recipe as soup. I just drained the cand of beans and halved the stock. Turned out great in both cases!

  9. Joy says:

Do you also put rice in it? That looks really good, but I’ve never tried it that way. I’m curious when you would add that.

    1. Passion For Savings says:

I normally serve it over rice, it’s just an option if you want to do that! You can serve it with any side that you prefer. If you do, add the cooked rice at the end so it doesn’t get soggy.

What brand/kind of ranch mix do you use?

You can use any brand but I got this one at Aldi

  16. Tracy says:

How much does this make? How many does it feed? Is it good for a work potluck?

  17. Heidi Mabunga says:

Is it possible to make this on the stove top?

    1. Passion For Savings says:

Yes, you can make this on the stove top. Basically just follow the recipe and as long as you have cooked ground beef (which you need to anyway) you can just heat everything through and serve.

  18. Ann says:

Should we drain the cans first? Everything won’t fit otherwise?! Hopefully it tastes okay since I didn’t drain the cans and all of the chicken broth wouldn’t fit. I have a large Crock Pot too.

    1. Passion For Savings says:

No, you won’t drain any of these canned ingredients. They are for the liquid in the soup. You may need a little larger crock pot, or you can put half of the ingredients in the crock pot and the other half in a zip lock bag and freeze to make at a later time!
