Easy Peach Tea Recipe
To make this Homemade Tea you just need to start with a few Sliced Peaches, I remove the core and set these aside first.
Next, in a pan over medium heat combine Water, Sugar, and Peaches. You’ll want to press these peaches down as they cook to remove as much juice from them as possible. You’ll be straining the peaches later so don’t worry about messing up the look of the peaches, you really want to get as much flavor and taste out of the peaches as possible.
Once your peaches have cooked down you can strain the peaches out of the syrup and place the syrup in a jar.
In a separate pitcher brew fresh black tea, combine the tea with the syrup, and for best results chill in the fridge for 24 hours before serving. This will help to keep the tea from melting the ice right away and watering down the tea.
This is a perfect recipe to make ahead of time before a party, then pull it out and serve!
Here are all the ingredients you will need:
INGREDIENTS:
Peach Syrup:
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Water
2-3 sliced fresh peaches
Tea:
3 Tea Bags ( I use black tea)
6 cups Water
DIRECTIONS:
Bring syrup ingredients to boil. Then reduce heat to medium.
Crush peach slices as you stir to dissolve sugar.
Turn off heat cover and let sit for 30 minutes.
Boil water and brew tea letting steep 5 minutes.
Remove tea bags and refrigerate.
Strain syrup through a fine strainer to remove fruit pieces.

Do I use peach tea bags?
I’m sure just about any kind of Iced Tea Bags would work, I just buy Lipton Black Tea.
If you used blueberries instead of peaches, how much would you need?
I just use Torani’s peach syrup to make peach tea. I used 1/4 cup per gallon. I also make raspberry tea, using their Raspberry syrup. Everyone loves it!
I’ve made this yummy Peach Ice Tea a few times now and it’s so delicious. My favorite is from the Olive Garden and I’ve tried different ways and this one is by far the best in my opinion! Thank you for sharing and making the directions easy to follow!
Can the syrup be prepared ahead of time and added as needed days later?
Hi there
Do you think I could use frozen fruit?
How long does the peach syrup keep for in the refrigerator?
Can you use trivia or another sugar substitute for this recipe?
I haven’t tried it, but you could and see if you like the way it tastes.
Awesome. Do you think I could make the syrup today, refrigerate it until Saturday and add it then to the tea? My peaches are overripe :P
Hi. This sounds really but how much does this recipe make?
are these the small tea bags or the family size??
ENTER YOUR COMMENT HEREI like the idea of making the simple syrup with the peaches and will try it. However, you suggest putting the hot brewed tea in the refrigerator. NOT, this will make your tea cloudy. Let stand to room temperature before chilling. The BEST black tea for iced tea is LUZIANNE. It is used all through the South, and is blended for Iced tea. Never bitter, and you brew it for 15 minutes. Walmart and most grocery chains carry it. Hope this helps everyone make the best iced tea!
Have you tried making it with less sugar or could the amount of liquids be increased without losing the peach flavor???
I haven’t tried making it with less sugar, but if you do, feel free to come back and comment and let me know how it turned out!
I love peach tea! I used to drink a lot of instant peach tea before I knew it had A LOT of sugar.
I got one question… What kind of tea should I buy to make the peach tea?
Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!!
I’m sure just about any kind of Iced Tea Bags would work, I just buy Lipton Black Tea.
