Everyone Clap and Cheer!!!!! I finally ordered my Baby Announcements last night. Ha, this is one of those things that has been on my list to do for a long time and I decided last night I was just going to sit down and order them.
I felt like I was on top of everything before I had baby #2, I knew where I was going to order them, found the best deal, got my list of addresses together….. and then, well, it just didn’t happen :) Life with 2 kids 2 and under has humbled me a little but I am starting to get back into the swing of things. I wanted to share with you what I did so that if you have any baby announcements or wedding save the date cards you need to send out you can follow my lead… Just not the 2 months late part ;)
1. I decided to order the 100 Free Postcards from Vista Print and turn them into a card by using an envelope.
2. I made the back side blank so I could add in the information I wanted to send. Here’s a shot of what it looks like (Sideways) lol.
I love this idea because postcards are normally a good cardstock to hold up in the mail, but I am a little too traditional to send a post card for a baby announcement so I decided to use the envelope.
3. I ordered envelopes to fit directly from Vista Print. They charged me $4.99 for 100 envelopes. I thought this was a great price because they are $4.87 for 50 that would fit at Walmart. Plus, I didn’t have to pay tax and I only paid around $0.50 more in shipping.
I also decided to upload my own design for the front image. This cost me $2.50 but I thought it was worth it to have a custom design.
Total I paid less than $15 for 100 Custom Cards and Envelopes and that included my shipping cost!!! You will have a hard time finding a better per item cost on custom printing. ($0.15 each is not too bad)
This would be perfect for Birthday Parties, Weddings, Baby Announcements, or even Thank You Cards. The possibilities are endless…
