I wanted to bring you some fun Holiday Craft Ideas for the Family this year so you can spend some wonderful, quality time with your kids and family! Each day I will feature a new and inexpensive craft idea that will be fun for your family :) My kids are crazy about crafts and drawing and anything that is creative so they are definitely my inspiration for these ideas!
Today’s craft is this AWESOME Reindeer Craft I found on Disney Family Fun! It is the Christmas version of the “Hand Turkey” that we have already done this year with the kids! This is a simple and quick one for a short, sit down, focused activity with your little ones. I would recommend this one for any children but is easy enough for 2 years old and up with a little mommy/daddy help: ) This is a great opportunity to work on those scissor skills and show your children how to properly use glue!
- Brown craft foam or card stock
- Black marker
- Red glitter glue
- Gold sequins
- Googly eyes
- Red pom-pom
- Brown pipe cleaner
Assembly: As you can see, assembly is very self-explanatory.
- Have your child trace their hand for the shape of the reindeer.
- Add hooves with a sharpie or black marker.
- Make the glitter glue collar with the red glitter glue and add sequins.
- Add the googly eye and pom pom for the nose and the pipe cleaner for the antlers.
- Make and add a little tail with the cardstock or foam.
You could make all 8 reindeer and attach them with gold Christmas-wrapping rope. I just bought some at Target for a little over $1 for my Christmas Gifts! You can really add anything you want to your reindeer-just have fun with it :)
Blast the Christmas music in the background and sing your favorite carols and maybe a little hot chocolate and have a truly wonderful time with your sweet kiddos!
