I have a Sportline Fitness Gear review I want to share with you from Sportline. Plus, we are giving away a fitness gear package from Sportline to 1 lucky reader!
Losing weight is one of the most popular New Year’s Resolutions made every year! It topped the list again for 2013 Resolutions. Do you want a New You in the New Year? You aren’t alone. Most of us know that gaining weight is the easy part, it’s losing it that requires dedication, discipline and persistence.
I have been struggling with getting to the gym for the past few months. I have a gym membership that I pay for every month, but finding the time in my busy schedule is what keeps me from getting to the gym more often. I like having some fitness gear at home that I can use when I can’t get to the gym. Or maybe for you the gym is totally out of the question so the only way you are going to work out is at home. Sportline has something for you!
I was given the opportunity to try the Plank and Ab Station, Weighted Resistance Ball, and the SOLO 965 Heart Rate Monitor from Sportline. The Plank & Ab Station has an ergonomic design for lumbar and core support and can be used for a wide variety of floor exercises including sit-ups, crunches, back extensions and front and slide planks. My favorite use was for front and side planks. It just made those exercises so much more comfortable to do and I felt like I was getting a better workout because I wasn’t worried about how badly my arms hurt and was more focused on my back like I should be!
The weighted resistance ball is great. I love that it is so easy to pump the air into with the provided pump and how small it is for storing. I was glad there was a poster and DVD included showing how to do different exercises to correctly use the ball and it lets you know what areas of your body the exercise is targeting. The Weighted Resistance Ball can be used for overall core training, and more specifically, to tone abdominal muscles, hips, waistline and lower back. I got a great workout using the ball and was sore for a few days following my workout which is always a good sign meaning my body was working those muscles! I would recommend this ball because it’s so versatile!
Heart Rate monitor watches are always great to have to determine your calories burned, target or current heart rate, distance traveled and more. I loved having a heart rate monitor when I was pregnant because it allowed me to keep my heart rate where it was supposed to be and not get too high. It’s also great for those trying to lose weight because attaining certain heart rates while exercising are more helpful in losing weight. The SOLO 965 Heart Rate Monitor Watch from Sportline has a built-in calorie genius to monitor your calories burned over a 24 hour period which is pretty cool.
