I have a GoPicnic Review to share with you today.
GoPicnic has revolutionized the concept of boxed meals, offering nutritionally balanced, shelf-stable, ready-to-eat boxed lunches and meal boxes that require no refrigeration, heating, or preparation. No bigger than a hardcover novel, GoPicnic boxed meals are easy to transport in a laptop bag, backpack, or handbag, and are meant to be enjoyed anywhere, anytime.
Every meal is made with “clean ingredients” meaning no trans fats, no high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), no added monosodium glutamate (MSG), and no artificial flavors or colors. I have noticed over the last few years more and more families are looking for foods like these. GoPicnic would be a good option if you are looking for a healthy to-go meal for anyone in your family from adults to kids. Another benefit of choosing GoPicnic is that if you are on a particular diet, such as a Gluten-Free diet or a Vegan diet, you can clearly see on each box each ingredient to determine if that particular boxed meal will work for you.
This past weekend, my family and I headed to Branson, MO, to visit Silver Dollar City. I am in that stage where my kids are always hungry, and we all know that many parks like to charge a lot for their concessions and meals. I decided to throw a few varieties of the Go Picnic meals into our stroller to avoid buying so much at the park. What I LOVE about the meals is that they require no refrigeration, so I didn’t have to worry about putting them in a cooler. Once lunchtime came, I just grabbed the box and opened all the packages for the kids. My daughter loves Peanut Butter so I gave her the GoPicnic Peanut Butter + Crackers meal. Included are crackers, peanut butter, applesauce, Cheddar Bunnies and Gummies. This meal packed in 11 grams of protein, 6 grams of fiber, and contained 460 calories plus is all-natural. She shared the applesauce with her brother, but ate the rest! She is even a pretty picky eater.
I have personally been trying to eat healthier this year. So far I would say I’m doing an okay job of it. I really felt that the GoPicnic meals are designed with healthy eating in mind. There were some items in my boxed meals that I was able to try that I really liked and would eat, but there were some items that I just didn’t care for and that would be based on personal taste. If I was going to try these, I’d suggest trying to buy a few at your local store that might carry them (like our local Target) or order a couple online. There are many options to choose from so you could find your favorite. I always looked forward to the chocolate in the box (if there was some). The chocolate was always more of a healthy option, but still, when you are trying to watch what you eat any chocolate tastes pretty good! I also really liked the cheeses that were included in the meals. Those were all very tasty! My son particularly loved the Peel-A-Parts which are tropical fruit strips.
I have a friend that I think would really love these GoPicnic Boxed meals so I am going to tell her about them to see if she wants to try them out. You can order individual meals or there are also GoPicnic Variety Packs if you want to try several different meals. I also noticed there is free shipping on the GoPicnic website for Military!
Our local Target has some varieties of the GoPicnic meals on Price Cut this week, 2/$7, that’s only $3.50 each! I hadnt’ seen these in the store before, so I think they might be new!
