I am excited to tell you about Wittlebee today! You might be asking what is Wittlebee, well I am about to tell you!
Have you heard of Wittlebee? Wittlebee is a kids clothing club (sizes newborn to 6 years) that you become a member of and receive a box of 6 clothing items every month in the mail for $39.99. You will fill out a style profile which includes some basic information like the gender, size, style (onesies, t-shirts, long sleeve shirts, pants, pajamas), and color scheme you prefer for your clothing items. You will then get an e-mail from Wittlebee saying your box is ready (with the 3 items they selected for you) and then you get to choose the other 3 from their Showroom). Once you have done that, the box of brand new clothing will be shipped to your doorstep.
If any of you are already familiar with Wittlebee, previously you were sent 6 items preselected by Wittlebee based on your style preferences. Just in the last week or two they have changed that so members will now be sent 3 items preselected by Wittlebee based on your style preferences (just as before) – BUT NOW you can CHOOSE the other 3 items from their SHOWROOM to complete your 6 item box! I personally love that option. You still get the element of surprise, but you’ll also get to pick 3 of your favorite items from the showroom!
I personally love the fact that you don’t have to go out shopping with little ones in tote and just the time you can save if you are busy mom when you sign up for this program. I think we’ve all probably tried taking our kids shopping and said, “I’m never doing that again.” And, you don’t have to spend a lot of time shopping online because once you set up your profile, all you have to do is select the 3 items of your choosing and you’re done for the month when you get your e-mail from Wittlebee that your box is ready for your 3 selections. If you figure out the math, you are basically spending $6.67 for each item. If you are going to add in the shipping of $5.99 that goes up to $7.66 per item.
Wittlebee also offers a 1, 3 or 12 month gift subscription. I love this idea for a Baby Shower Gift, Birthday Gift or Christmas Gift (you could use the 1 month subscription for these)! What about those Grandmothers or someone that is far away from the little ones you want to send clothing too just because. It is a pretty easy way to send clothing and not a lot of work for the giver of the gift.
I received a box of clothing from Wittlebee to try on this cute little guy! I felt like out of my 6 items, I really liked the quality of 4 of the items. The other 2 were average in my opinion, but not something I would not buy. I personally like American Apparel for basics and I received a gray American Apparel basic long sleeve shirt which I loved! My other favorite item was a salmon colored t-shirt. The shirt is really soft and it’s a surfer shirt and will be fun to put on in the warm months coming up! I also received a pair of navy blue knit pants which I like having to put on kids for playing around the house and for comfortable wear. I did feel that compared to what I normally buy the sizing was just a little different that what I’m used to (just a little big around the waist and shorter than I expected for the size I received). As we all know, sizing varies from brand to brand. I also wanted to say that I love that you can pick your basic color shade preference in the style profile. I know for me that I have certain colors I like to put my kids in because of their light skin tone and their eye color. Certain colors just “pop” more when they wear them, so I think that is a great feature of the program.
To me, one downfall of the program is that you can’t try all the different brands of clothing (for size or just to see if you like them) before receiving the clothing. I do have “hard to buy for” kids, but that is because they are very particular about what they wear. Most kids I know are pretty happy with whatever Mom suggests. I will tell you that there is an option to join the Wittleebee Swap Group where you can trade and sell new Wittlebee clothing so that would be a good option for someone like me.
You will want to read the Wittlebee FAQ page to learn all about the process in detail before you sign up. It’s always good to know the facts and how the entire process works. They have information there regarding many questions I had myself, so I highly recommend you read that!
If you go to Wittlebee’s social media pages, you can also find pictures of some of their clothing and find out more about the company.
