I am a little late to posting my weekly shopping trip this week, also I didn’t get a picture of this trip because my husband dropped me off at the mall to do some shopping for my little girl and he brought the groceries home and put them up before I could get a picture :)
I mentioned during last weeks shopping trip that I needed to do some major stocking up! We were getting low on several things including Meat and I was holding out for a good deal but this week we have had my Little Girl’s Birthday and tomorrow is my Hubby’s Birthday so I was needing a few things to cook for their Birthdays and I decided to just go ahead and buy at the best price I could find. We also picked up some stuff we don’t normally buy at full price so I went way over budget. I was actually under budget a few of the last few weeks so it should all average out. I’ll try to get you an average for the month at the end of the post.
Here’s what I purchased this week – I don’t normally write it all out like this but since I didn’t have a picture this was the best I could think of.

Diced Tomatoes, 5 Cans

Here’s my Splurge! :) I bought a Beef Tenderloin and had it cut into steaks to use this week for my Hubby’s Birthday. I always like to use leftovers in my food budget to buy those few items I really love and I’m very very picky on Steak. I really only like the Tenderloin (Yes I know I’m spoiled in this sense) So I spent $33 on Steak :) Hopefully Hubby will enjoy this for his Birthday Tomorrow and we’ll have enough left over to have 4-5 more meals with it.
Philadelphia Cream Cheese, 4 @ $1.38 + Used the $0.50/2 coupons which Doubled. We didn’t really need this but it was a good price and since my coupon doubled I grabbed it.
Breyers Yogurt Packs, 2 4 ct. packs
Old Orchard Juice, 6 @ $1.77 each + I used the $0.50/1 Coupons which Doubled making these just $0.77 each!
Total I spent $143.74 Ouch! Ha ha! But I really did need to stock up and I had some money left over from the last few weeks so it was a little overdue.
Total for 4 weeks worth of Shopping Trips I averaged $58.95 per week which isn’t bad. The thing you should pick up from all of this is that there are weeks you may get Great Deals and there are weeks you may have to buy necessities but overall the savings and dedication really does add up and we actually have lots of food to help with the menu plans over the next few weeks so hopefully I’ll be able to build up some more wiggle room in the budget and we’ll enjoy those steaks! :)
