Ever have those Bust Shopping Trips where you don’t have a plan, you spend more than you meant too and got home and wondered why you bought what you did??? Well that was me this week :) We were on Vacation on Friday & Saturday so I came home and didn’t have a plan, ran out of time and just rushed out to the stores. So in the interest of showing you what happens when you break Rule #1 which is Always have a Plan I thought I would share this weeks’ Shopping Trip :)
My Walmart had 12 Packs of Coke on sale for $2.75 and I had some $1/1 Coupons from Recyclebank so I got these for $1.75. The Dr. Pepper was a total impulse it was also $2.75 and I thought my hubby would love me forever if I bought it since it’s his favorites and I have been refusing to pay $4.95 for a 12 pack which is the new normal price in our area. I had some $4/4 Betty Crocker Fruit Snack Coupons that were expiring so I got 8 boxes of Fruit Snacks. Again a total Impulse. The coupons were expiring and we have been using these for Potty Training so I grabbed them because they were a “Good Deal” probably the item I am thinking now that I could have done without. I price Matched the Chocolate Chips with the Walgreens ad. the Nivea was Free after the $3 Coupon from Sunday’s Paper. I planned on price matching the Aldi’s Ad for Strawberries but my store was completely out! I know it was Sad. So again I grabbed the Apples and Bananas for my kids but these weren’t really a great deal so that was probably somewhere if I had not been so tired that I would have gone to another store or to Aldi’s but I paid a little more for these in the interest of sanity.
I got a few deals at Target, The Long Sleeve T was Free, the Operation Game only $2 and I had a B1G1 Free on the Old Orchard Juice that was expiring so I paid $1.19 for both. Alos, the Visine and Degree were free as well so this was a decent little trip.
I found some good markdowns at Harps. The Minute Maid was only $0.99 because it was expiring soon but we will drink it before it goes bad. The Milk had a week left and was only $1.50 so I grabbed that as well. The Velveeta was $4.99 and it has been $5.88-$5.99 everywhere else so I got 2. I might add that the Queso Blanco is Excellent! If you get a chance to try it I thought it was great. The Parkay is also only $0.18 a box with the $0.50 coupon on Coupons.com and the Yoplat was around $1.50 after the coupon from Sunday’s insert and doubles.
I did pretty good at Walgreens this week too! Everything you see pictured was basically free. My Out of Pocket was $2.21 which is mostly tax. I used a $5 register reward and got back $6 in register rewards which is great considering what I got. Also, don’t miss the Oxi Clean Deal. These are just $0.50 each after the $3/2 coupon from Sunday’s Paper and the April Coupon Book Coupon.
Total I spent $66.54 on everything pictured. Not too bad but since I didn’t really have a plan I felt like I probably could have done better on the Groceries end of things.
