Tina- I’ve been in your shoes! How frustrating :( Walmart has been less than pleasant to me about coupons on more than one occasion- searching through my bags, etc… I avoid Walmart these days and focus on Target and the drug stores!
I also found at my walmart today CASCADE COMPLETES travel size .97 with the $1/1 cpm that came out in the paper recently (sorry I am so bad, I don’t remember which one!) makes them free with 3 cents overage. ALSO, my walmart had the Air Wick Neutra things where you bought the spray you got the sprayer for free. They had them marked as starter kits even though it didn’t say this on the box. They were priced at 4.97 each with the $4/1 Air Wick cpn that came out, you can get these for 97 cents! I was also able to use the cpn on the package that was the sprayer only with no spray and it let me us the cpn for that one too. I was able to get the stainless steel colored ones this way.
I GOT 12 OF THE ONES WITH THE REFILL IN IT AND 4 OF THE ONES W/OUT, STAINLESS STEEL COLORED AND WHITE. AT MY WALMART THEY HAD A SIGN FOR 9.97 BUT I SCANNED IT AND IT WAS 4.97 SO WITH THE COUPON .97 I’VE NOTICED WALMART IS GETTING MUCH HARDER AND I DREAD GOING TO THE CHECKOUT, CAUSE IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE CASHIER YOU GET. SOME MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR DOING SOMETHING WRONG AND ANNOYING THEM, I HATE IT. I WENT TO WALGREENS FOR THE 1ST TIME A FEW DAYS AGO AND DID MY BIGGEST TRIP YET $100 AND PAID $28. THE CASHIERS WERE GREAT, ACTUALLY SHOWING ME WHAT DEALS TO GET AND HOW TO GET THE BEST DEAL WITH WHAT COUPONS I HAD, AND 1 CASHIER EVEN HAD A BOX OF COUPONS SHE GIVES OUT IF YOU NEED IT AND SHE HAS IT. I GOT A TON OF DOVE BODY WASH AND DEODORANTS, RAZORS, FLOSS, SHAMPOO, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, AND AIRWICK KITS (DIFFERENT THAN THE WALMART ONES) THEY EXCEPT COUPONS THAT WALMART WONT, AND THEIR HAPPY TO DO THEIR JOB, 4 OUT OF 5 OF US IN THE STORE WERE COUPONING. IT IS ADDICTING!! TODAY I GOT 16 PACK OF BIC RAZORS FOR FREE!!! YOU GOTTA LOVE IT!!
I have to tell you I had my worst shopping trip @ Walmart today. I had my list and coupons organized, and knew I could do it in an hour. Actually, it was the cashier not the trip, because I got mostly everything I wanted. I wanted to try using a bunch of coupons on the trial sizes you always talk about. So, I get up to the register, put my stuff up, she starts ringing me up. I put all the free things @ the end to make it easier. As soon as she saw my pull out my coupons she stops everything, and looks over every single stinking coupon I had. She then organizes them in some crazy way I have never seen before. She then finishes ringing me up, and starts the coupons. Ugh—it was bad, if the register would beep @ her she would dig through the bags and look @ the item, then the coupon, and see if it would work. I told her I already looked over every coupon, and none say excludes trial sizes, and they should work, and I was not here to waste any ones time @ trying to get it for free ( I said all of this in a nice way). Anyway, I finally got out of there. I bet it look @ least 15 minutes to check out for maybe 20 items. I have been couponing for awhile now, and have never had many issues. It just fustrates me to no end that they treat us like this! We are not stealing, and we are not stupid. Sometimes it makes me want to give up couponing, but it is so much fun.
