How to Change Your Zip Code on Coupons.com
Have you noticed all the new Changes on Coupons.com this week? In Addition to the Awesome iPad Giveaway they are doing each day they have also made some recent changes to the site that I wanted to point out.
There are no longer “Pages” of coupons, but there is a Show More Coupons Button at the bottom of each section.
If you are looking for something specific it might be easier to sort by using the Popular Categories Links. Just click on “More” to see all of the categories available.
One of the most notable changes is that you no longer have a zip code option on the first page. To change your zip code you will need to click on Local Coupons, then enter your zip code.
At first I thought this might not be changing the coupons on the home page, but look at the difference in savings between the 2 different zip codes.

Do not see the place to change the zip code either!

Maybe there are different opening pages for the site–which doesn’t make any sense, but nothing on this site is making sense recently.
When I enter http://www.coupons.com it brings up an opening page with: coupons – savings card – local coupons – coupon codes – member center – more across the top. I click on local coupons, change the zip, and return to coupons to continue getting the coupons.
I tried opening up several sites from Googling http://www.coupons.com and still get the same header tabs as above. Let me know what some of you have across the top, if they are different that what I have.
I’m making a list and still attempting to find someone at coupons.com who can answer the why behind changes that are not customer friendly.

I have tried several times to find the zip code box since the changes, and am getting more frustrated with the site. Beside the Coupons.com logo I have the following tabs: “Coupons,” “Coupon Codes,” “Member Center,” and “More.” I’ve been through all of the tabs but am still unable to find a zip code box. Has anyone that can’t find the “Local Coupons” tab been able to find the box somewhere else? Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Anne Davis
Hi Caitlyn, I understand your frustration. This is my method to solve the problem:
Open Coupons.com
At the top of the page, on the same tab bar as “coupons”, locate “local coupons” (a little to the right) and click on that tab.
On the left, just under Coupons.com logo is your zipcode box with the little orange arrow.
Erase the zipcode you want to de-select and type in your new one. Click the orange arrow and this will give you your new zip.
You will still be on the “local coupons” page.
Click on the “coupons” tab to your left (where you were originally) and it should take you to the regular coupons offered by the zipcode you selected.
Hopefully, this will help, if not e-mail me at: luvrpeppers@comcast.net

There is not a tab for local coupons any where. Not on the right of coupons. Maybe on your log in, it is there, but certainly not when I log in.

Another “original” way to access coupons.com is through Coupon Mom website. Also, I have a list of significant zip codes from all regions in the US to maximize opportunities. If anyone wants this, just send me your e-mail and I’ll be happy to attach and return the list to you. My e-mail is: luvrpeppers@comcast.net

Heather, what are the best zip codes to use for coupons? I’ve been learning from you this past year but I still have a loooong way to go :) thank you for keeping us up to date on all the deals, it makes my head spin trying to figure that stuff out lol! you are a shopping wizard! :)

I dont even have a local coupons tab….
Tony
Another option is to access the site through Swagbucks. If go from a Swagbucks account, it still works like the old days. It’s much easier to use.
New question. Anyone know how to change dates on the coupons.com iPhone and iPad ap? It has also been changed to remove the location option. Very annoying. My phone and my wife’s phone are locked to two different locations, which is weird cause we live at the same zip…

I really appreciate your trying to help with COUPONS.COM. When I click on LOCAL COUPONS, I don’t get a place to change the zip code. It stays the same. I am really disappointed in their changes. I never imagined that it would become so difficult to use. It is no longer user friendly. Love your site and appreciate all you do to help us. Thanks so much!

It should come up in the upper left corner to change the Zip. Let me know if you still can’t find it!
Linda
Thank you for your response. I see no where in the upper left corner to change the zip.

Nope. It doesn’t give me the choice to change zip codes. I don’t know if it logs ip address or just uses the last zip code you used. But whether I am logged in or not, there is no way to change zip codes.
Add to that the difficultly with having to click so many more times to try and print a second coupon (as others mentioned). the new changes are really unwieldy.
I used to go to another zip code to print out coupons for my mother in her area for a few specials (products they don’t even sell in our area, but I know she appreciates it). She doesn’t go online. Now I can’t even do that for her anymore. It’s really a shame.
If you figure out a way for the rest of us to change zip codes, please let us know! Thanks so much for all you! You’re the best!

I have tried repeatedly and no where does a window come up to change zip codes. Can you tell me again how to do this. I click on local and the page just stays the same. HELP!!!
Anne Davis
I don’t know about others, but I do not like the new format for Coupons.com. The page is cumbersome, does not roll smoothly, and does not enable you to just pick a page if you want to return to a coupon on a designated page. It takes me way too long to move through the process–used to be smooth to turn to pages, select a change in zipcode, etc. They now tie with the Target web coupon page for “slow”.

I Agree Anne! Very slow and user UNFriendly. I always print 2 of each coupon and now, to go back and print the 2nd coupon I have to keep clicking on More Coupons until I finally get to the last page to find my coupons (since they move to the last page once they’ve been printed once. Very annoying and much more time consuming.

Thank you so much for this post!!! I’ve been checking various blog sites repeatedly since the change in hopes of finding any mention of the new look of Coupons.com and how to change the zip code. It’s been driving me crazy! I know that if you don’t put in a good zip code, you don’t get near as many coupon options or values, and I was afraid they had reset the zip from the one I like the most to one with fewer coupons. Thanks again! Love the Passion For Savings site! It’s always has great tips and deal scenarios. Thanks again!
