Was great and a hit, but it still has a long johns flavor that is missing. Has anyone figured it out?

I made this tonight for dinner tonight and it was delicious, and I love how easy this was to prepare! Thanks for sharing!

  4. Martina says:

I made this yesterday and it was delicious! I like that there are no eggs or milk in the batter, gives me the illusion of a “low” calorie meal haha… I will just conveniently forget about the frying part ;)

I use a very similar recipe except I add a tablespoon of vinegar right before I dip the chicken (or fish) into it. It creates a foamy texture in the batter which makes a lighter, crisper, and more fragile crust. Try it, you’ll love it!

How much oil do you use for this recipe?

    1. Passion For Savings says:

It’s up to you, but I would try 1 or 2 Tablespoons, you can always add more if you need to.

Tried this for my granddaughter who loves Long John Silver’s chicken. She said it tasted just like it, so it was a hit! Will definitely make this again.

I haven’t tried it, but if you do, come back and let me know how it turned out!

  11. Dee says:
