Does Walmart Accept Target Coupons?

Does Walmart Accept Target Coupons?

I love this question because the Walmart Coupon Policy specifically states that they Accept Competitor Coupons however there are a few quick clarifications that need to be made:

The Coupon Must have a Specific Item Listed
The Coupon Must have a Size Listed
The Coupon Must have the Final Price of the Item Listed

Most Target Coupons are a Dollar Off Value (For Example $1 off Dove Men + Care Deodorant or Body Wash) – These Target Coupons do not specify a Size, or have the Final Price so they are not accepted at Walmart

(Please Note that just because some Walmart Stores accept these coupons, or some cashiers have allowed you to use them in the past this is not the official policy)

An Example of a Competitor Coupon that you could use at Walmart would be an In Ad Walgreens Coupon. This coupon 1) has a Specific Item Listed Q-tips, 2) Has a Specific Size Listed (300 – 375 count), and 3) Has a Final Price of $1.99.

Walmart would accept this Competitor Coupon and give you the $1.99 Price on a 300 or 375 Ct. box of Q-Tips.

I had a question about using a CVS coupon at Walmart!!
Today I went to Walmart and bought a Tresemme’ shampoo… for $3.71… I wanted to used a CVS store coupon for $3.00 off, but the cashier said that I couldn’t use it… I had read the coupon policy for Walmart, so im not sure if im understanding it right. If you can help me out by telling me if it is possible for me to have used a competitor coupon like CVS store coupons at Walmart??

I have a foodlion coupon for five dollars off any item five dollars or more, it does not list any item on it. Will Walmart honor that coupon.

So if Walmart excepts competitior coupons can use also use a manufactor coupon also at walmart along with a target (competitor) coupon?

Yes they do because they price match so if you get a dollar off at target then walmart will match that dollar off. depending on location,.

I heard from a friend that you can use the Walgreens ads that include RR, but have a final price. (i.e. Playtex tampons in this week’s ad: sale price $7.49 – Register Rewards* good on next purchase $2 = like paying $5.49) So Walmart would match the $5.49. I haven’t tried it though. Anyone know if this works??

Have they let you stack coupons at Walmart? For example use a manufacturer’s coupon and a Target coupon at Walmart?

I wouln’t think Walmart would honor CVS because they say , with card.
I’m glad to know about the Walgreens. My store is very strict about coupons.

Awesome information and discussion! If you ever need someone to help look up this info, let me know! I’m getting a list ready for Walmart, good to know. I had one cashier awhile back say they don’t take competitor’s coupon, but took it anyway. So I was way confused, I guess we have to read the fine print.

Hi. I had walmart price match some deodorants for me from a walgreens ad and they did it with no hassle. Then I used a manufactuer coupon on the same deodorants I had price matched and again the cashier did it just fine. I have also used target coupons that only have a dollar amount off. Not specifics.

My Wal-Mart won’t take Target coupons because there is no Target stores in this part of the country. Closest one has to be a couple hundred miles away.

Walmart will not except a coupon from another store with a percent off on it.My husband is a member of management and I have asked him.. it has to have a specific bottom line price,size and specified item like the Walgreens coupon above.Some of you may very well be sliding other coupons past the cashiers that aren’t trained properly on the policy or new cashiers..in that case congrats for you..but keep in mind if the policy is abused by customers or unknowledgable cashiers the policy will get done away with and that effects everyone!

  I’m finding that no matter the policy, most cashiers aren’t trained at all or know very little if anything about it. I had a very nice cashier over the weekend who told me that she wished they would be better trained on coupons, etc. She had been told the night before by the store manager not to accept ANY internet printables!!! What?!?!? The head CSM had to come over and then she allowed her to take mine. Crazy!

When I went to my walmart I asked them if they accept other coupons and they said no they do not because they do not get the money from them. Looks like I will have to print the coupon policy to use competitors coupons.

A while back Target had a coupon flyer in the Sunday paper for Kleenex Hand Towels. I think it was buy 2 get one free. Target cashiers couldn’t figure out what to do with their own coupon. So I took it straight to Walmart where I knew that had the same shop towels for a lower price. The cashier read the coupon and scanned it right in. Oh and it did have the specific details that were mentioned above. So just read the coupon carefully. If it matches the policy your good!

I know the Walmart I go to in Maine only excepts the coupons like the example pic of the Walgreens one. They will not take any coupon that says web coupon on it from a competitor. So they basically won’t except the example pic for the coupon from Target.

Does it have to have a barcode like the Walgreen coupon above? I brought in a competitor in store coupon without a barcode and the cashier told me that I would have to use it at that store rather than at Walmart.

along these same lines, if you use a competitor coupon at wal-mart, I guess they consider it a price match, can you then also use a manufacturer’s Q on that same item?

What about if I have a coupon for target that lists a specific item and the size its for, but its for a free item…..would walmart honor that??

My Wal-Mart accepts any competitor’s coupon that I bring in… Target, Publix, Walgreens, CVS… so long as they’re actually in the area of the store. All they do is a price override to fix the price. I’ve had some cashiers that didn’t know what to do with it. Every manager so far has explained it right, and never turned down a coupon!

  Mine does the same thing Jessica. Mine take ANY competitor coupons. I print the ones off Target.com all the time that only say $X amount off X product. There is no size or specifics on them at all…sometimes it is buy 2 get $X off…but never any sizes on them and our Walmart still honors them. Now the Wal-greens ones that I take in have sizes on them but they do not take them as a coupon they take that as a price match and will only take up to whatever the limit is on the Walgreens Coupon. Yesterday I went in and got the Crayola twistable crayons that are buy 1 for $4.99 get 2 free…they said they cant honor that BUT what they did do is a price match so they charged me $1.66 EACH instead of getting 2 free…which ends up the exact same price in the end. I was just happy they would work with me on that!
