Last week I only picked up a few items at Walmart and while I did great and only paid $5.94 after Rebate, I got several request from readers to share a “Normal” Shopping trip.

I actually don’t do much “Normal” Shopping because I typically only buy what is on sale and the few necessities that we need. You will find that I buy multiples of random items on sale and build my meal plans around what I already have so I don’t typically purchase all your normal items at once. This week was what I would consider a Normal Shopping trip for me. I purchased necessities like Orange juice, & Bread, a few high priced items that my hubby asked for (a.k.a. Oreos) and I stocked up on a few items that were free or really cheap! Here are some close ups of what I purchased:

One of the items I stocked up on this week were Frozen Veggies. These were on sale for 10/$10 at my local grocery store and I had some $0.50/2 Coupons that made them just $0.50 per bag. I use these in Soups and Stews as well as just using them for side dishes so these are one of my Staples that I like to stock up on when I can get them for $0.50 per bag or less.

I also grabbed Salsa at Target since we were completely out. I had a $0.50/2 Manufacturer Coupon and a $0.50/1 Target Coupon I stacked. The Salsa was also on Price Cut for $2.25 so I ended up paying just $1.50 each jar.

Minute Maid Orange Juice was just $2.64 at Target and I used the Buy 1 Get 1 Free coupon I told you about here. That made the Orange Juice just $1.32 each, which I thought was a great price!

I stocked up on the Healthy Choice and Marie Calendars Meals. I’ll share that deal with you separately, but my hubby takes these for lunch 2-3 times a week and they are my budget buster some times so I was excited to stock up while they were over 50% off the normal price.

Bestlife Butter was on sale for $1 at my Grocery store and I had 4 of the $1 Coupons making the Butter Free. The Halls and Rimmel Eye Shadows were also free.

Macaroni and Cheese…. I’m almost embarrassed to admit that I paid $0.84 for that one box :( I didn’t get to Walgreens last week for the deal and Hubby specifically requested this one so I went ahead and paid full price since we were out and I’ll keep looking for a sale or coupon.

Kraft Singles, I got these at Target for $3.29, I had the $1/1 Coupons I posted Here along with a new $1/2 target coupon that made them just $1.79 each.

Also, a Significant portion of my Walmart recipt was the Great Value Almonds. I’ve been wanting something to munch on for snacks so I grabbed these, but they were a little pricey at $5.98.

My Find of the night was that I got 4 5lb. Bags of Unbleached All Purpose Flour at target on Clearance for $1.14 each :) So now I am stocked up on Flour for a little while.

The Oreos were another one of Hubby’s requests and I had a new $1/2 Nabisco Cookies Target Coupon but they were still $2.29 after the coupon.

Total for everything pictured I paid $55.47 including tax!

I really thought this was about average. This is right on my Weekly grocery budget and I stocked up on Frozen Meals that would have cost me twice as much normally. Also, I had a few splurges and some great Basics like the Butter, Flour, Orange Juice, Bread and Cheese.

That is really good! We were normally spending $100 a week on groceries!! I just started sales and couponing together and now I average $50 or less a week! YAY!
