I agree with others, I’ll use soda, not powder. Also, I’m not using raw peanuts, so I’ll add to the popcorn before I top with syrup mixture and bake in the oven as directed. It’s unusual to have 2 mistakes in a recipe. I’m hoping the powder virus soda is just a typo, and they just forgot the step about the peanuts. Was anyone successful with their changes? Follow-up comments would be helpful and fun.
I used baking soda. That is what I use when I make peanut brittle so I went with the soda. Turned out perfect. Secondly, I added the peanuts with the marshmallows and snickers. I think they could be added anywhere but I did not want them to burn so I added them at the end.
Is it baking powder or soda. you list powder in ingredients then soda in the instructions.
Having made candied popcorns before it is usually baking SODA. I was also wondering about the raw peanuts…I would think because they are raw you would need to cook them in the sugar candy mixture, but not sure. Did anyone try the recipe? Gonna see if I can find it somewhere else online.
Is it baking powder or soda? The ingredient list has powder….the instructions say soda.
Sounds delish, when do you add the peanuts?
