If your kids are like mine, they LOVE Popsicles in the Summer! And you’ll love serving them these as healthy snacks!!
It’s one of those things we look forward to every year, the only thing I don’t love is the sugar and food coloring that most popsicles consist of, so we’ve started making our own Fresh Fruit Pops using these Zipzicle Bags you can get on Amazon! You can also try these Silicone Popsicle Molds that are Reusable.
There are 2 flavors we really love, but you can make just about any fruit into a popsicle using this method. Try Mango or Strawberry Fruit Pops, or blend the 2 flavors together for a fun twist! I use about 1 lb. of Strawberries for 6 Pops and I added 1/4 Cup of 100% Apple Juice just to help it blend smoothly in the blender this is also an easy way to sweeten the fruit without using refined sugar.
Sometimes the hardest part is figuring out how much fruit you need, here’s what I used: 2 Mangos Produced 4 Zipzicles and 1 lb. of Strawberries produced 6 100% fruit pops!
Here’s the recipe if you’re looking for a little more guidance:
- 2 Mangos Chopped & Peeled OR 1 Lb. Strawberries Sliced
- 1/4 Cup 100% Apple Juice
- Zipzicle or Popsicle Molds
- Combine Fresh Fruit and 1/4 Cup. Apple Juice in a blender & Blend until smooth
- Place in Popsicle Mold and Freeze Overnight
- Serve Chilled!
