Simplify Your Life
One of the requirements when I was creating this Freezer Cooking Plan was to make sure that the recipes were easy for busy nights, I already have a Slow Cooker Meal Plan with Dump Recipes where you can assemble 10 meals in just 30 minutes, and I wanted something completely different with recipes my kids and my husband and I would enjoy. I also personally was needing things I could throw in the oven and bake while I was at Dance, Baseball or Church because life has been really crazy lately and I didn’t have a lot of time to cook each night but I didn’t want slow cooker chicken each night either, so this meal plan is a good mix of recipes. There are a few that can be cooked in the slow cooker, some that can be grilled and some that can thaw and go directly in the oven without needing anything else!
One of the most requested features of our original Slow Cooker Meal Plan was the Assembly Video, You guys LOVED watching me assemble the meal plan in my kitchen so you can follow along step by step, and that’s back!

In this meal plan you’ll make each recipe twice! That means you will have 20 Meals ready to go in your Freezer in just a morning or afternoon! I have been amazed how much Freezer Cooking has changed my life, I now have Meals Ready to go for my family even on busy nights, there’s no more temptation to run through the drive thru, as long as I plan ahead I can have a meal thawed and in the oven before I leave and dinner ready to go as soon as I get home!
Each recipe includes ingredients you can find at just about any store. You can shop at one store like Aldi, or your local grocery store, or shop around and stockpile the ingredients to get the best prices! I also love the idea of teaming up with a friend so that you can buy in bulk at a Warehouse store. You could each make the meal plan and having a little moral support not only makes the assembly go faster, it saves you money because you can fully utilize each ingredient.
This meal plan cost me under $150 for all of the non-staple items. My total was actually $141.26 but I rounded up to $150, I did do some shopping the sales, for example I waited until Chicken went on sale at my local Aldi and then I purchased some Meat that was marked down the same day I was going to use it. I didn’t include any items from my stockpile so depending on your area you may be able to make all of these meals for even less! I also purchased name brand items on most things so you could also use store brands to help you save!

Here’s how You can Get Started using our Meal Plans:
1.) Purchase any of our Meal Plans Available in our Store. This specific plan is the Classic Meal Plan #1!
2.) Download your Meal Plan, Recipes & Labels. I would recommend downloading the documents and printing them out or reading over them on your phone, the tips and tricks for assembly is a great place to start if you’re new to Freezer Cooking!
3.) Check Your Pantry! The best way to save money is to make sure you don’t over buy. Take the shopping list and go through the list of ingredients, anything you already have on hand you can cross off your list! That way you don’t buy more than you need and you utilize what you have on hand first! This is also a good idea to check the list of Staple Items to make sure you have everything and there’s not something on the staples list that you need to purchase.
4.) Plan a time to shop! I like to shop the day before I do my cooking so plan a date to head to the stores, or wait for a good sale on meat! That’s the most expensive part of any meal plan so a good sale is always a great motivation to do your shopping!
5.) Set aside time to cook! Once you’ve got all your ingredients you are ready to cook and assemble your meals. I use a 4 step process to assemble all the meals, you can easily do this all at once or split the prep time (cutting and cooking the meat and veggies) and the assembly time apart. It’s really up to you and what fits in your schedule! I’ve done it both ways and it really doesn’t seem to matter I find doing a little each day easier to work into my schedule, but some people like to block off a Saturday to the shopping & assemble everything at once.
That’s it! You’ll have a Freezer FULL of recipes that you can pull out and use as needed on busy nights! Once everything is assembled you can place it in the freezer, then all you have to do is Thaw and Bake according to the directions on the recipe!
