American Flag Rice Krispies Recipe
Here is what you need to make this great Rice Krispie American Flag:
1 Stick Butter
2 Bags of Marshmallows (10 oz. bags)
10 Cups of Rice Krispies Cereal
Food Coloring
Here is how you make these great Rice Krispie treats:
In a Large Bowl (Note you may need to divide the recipe in half and make 2 batches) combine the Butter and Marshmallows and melt on High for 30 seconds, then stir and return to the microwave for another 30 seconds.
Separate the mixture into 3 bowls, you only need a small amount for the Blue, then divide the remaining for the Red and White.
Color the bowls of Marshmallow Mixture for the Red and Blue Areas of the Rice Krispies
Slowly pour in Rice Krispies Cereal and mix well
Pour Blue Rice Krispies into an 8×8 pan, Pour Red and White into larger 9×13 pans or Aluminum Foil Lasagna Pans.
Place in the Fridge to Chill for 1-2 hours
Remove from Fridge and Slice Red and White Rice Krispies into even stripes.
Swap the Rice Krispies between pans so that you have alternating stripes.
Cut the Blue Rice Krispies in Half to make the Top Left Corner of the Rice Krispies.
Remove the Red and White Stripes from the Top Left Corner and replace it with Blue Rice Krispies.
