Who doesn’t love to pull a few April Fools Day Pranks on their kids on April 1st? Some of them can be pretty hard, but I found some super easy and fun pranks for the kids!
Your kids will think these pranks are super fun and they took almost no time at all. These pranks are super easy and your little ones will think they are hilarious!
1. The Doughnut Fake Out
A super fun and easy prank to play on the kids on April 1st, is to replace a box of doughnuts with veggies! UH OH! They won’t be too happy about that, so be sure to have the donuts hidden somewhere else :)
Start with a box of a dozen donuts and then empty it out. You’ll want to clean out any leftover doughnut residue or sprinkles and I wiped mine out with a damp paper towel.
Once you’ve got your empty box, place a paper towel in the bottom, it’ll keep the veggies from getting all over the box if you choose to put your doughnuts back into the box!
Next you’ll get up your veggies, or you can but already cut ones like I did for most of mine :) fill your doughnut box with the vegetables and prepare for disappointment! HA!
Leave the doughnut box out on the cabinet and have a good laugh when the kids come in for breakfast on April 1st! This was a fun and easy prank that you’ve got to try!
2. Chocolate Easter Grape Fake Out
The next fun April Fools Prank that is easy, is filling the chocolate Easter egg candies with grapes. It’s really simple and it’s a funny surprise that the kids will laugh at!
Unwrap your Easter Candy and be careful not to rip the foil. Once you’ve unwrapped them you can starting putting in the grapes and re-wrapping them. One problem I ran into was my grapes were a bit large, but you can find smaller grapes or use a second piece or foil, either way, they turned out great!
It didn’t take much time at all to do this fun April Fools Trick and the kids loved it and wanted to help me do it to their dad!
3. Carrot Cheetos Replacement Chips
This had to be one of my FAVORITE April Fools Pranks! I took the lunch size bags of cheetos and opened them from the bottom. Then I proceeded to take out the Cheetos, replace them with carrots and then re seal with bag with hot glue.
Once it’s dry you can put it in your kids lunch box and send it with them as a snack to school (maybe send an extra bag with actual Cheetos though too!)
4.) Frozen Cereal
Here is a great prank to do if you remember the night before April Fools! Frozen Cereal, it’s so fun and it’s super easy, it just took a little bit of time to freeze! Just pour your cereal, pour your milk and you can choose to add a spoon or not it’s up to you, your kids will be so confused!
This prank took all of about 30 seconds to set up and I let it freeze over night, my kids were super confused then they laughed really hard, I think it’s going to become a regular prank in our house!
5.) Toilet Paper Shoes
This Toilet Paper Shoes Prank might be the funniest and the easiest prank I have ever done. All I did was stuff my kids toes of their shoes with toilet paper and they think they’ve outgrown them over night. It’s super simple and you can do it last minute because you have everything at home already!
6.) Remote Control Prank
This remote control prank works pretty well on both children and husbands, all you need is tape, a sharpie and your remote. All you have to do is color in the take with sharpie and the place it over the receiver of your remote and no one will be able to figure out why it isn’t working!
Like I said, simple and funny and it took almost no time or materials at all. I had everything I needed already at home!
7. Shampoo Stopper
One of my favorite pranks to play on my kids is SOOOOO simple, all you need is saran wrap, scissors, and their shampoo or body wash. Open the top of their shampoo, place the saran wrap around, replace the lid then cut off the excess wrap and your kids won’t know why their shampoo isn’t coming out.
It’s super fun and it’s super easy, so be sure to give it a try this April!
