Do you need extra skin support during the winter months? I have always something extra during the winter, and now I have 2 of my 3 kids that also need the extra support. I have struggled to find a lotion that works well without burning! And the best part about this recipe is this is a Crockpot Lotion Recipe, so you don’t have to worry about double broilers and standing over a stove while it melts. You can just dump it in the Crockpot and forget about it for an hour!
My poor little girl has had so many times I’ve tried a new lotion (Even the sensitive skin ones) that just burns her skin! It’s awful!
I finally decided about a year ago to try making my own lotion! It is Amazing! Keep in mind this is a very greasy lotion which works really well. It’s great for my daughters legs and back and also her hands.
I love that it only has 3 main ingredients because I can see and control exactly what’s in the lotion and going on her skin and since there’s no alcohol involved it doesn’t burn when applied!
I also love adding Lavender to my lotion once it’s cooled, the heat can take away the therapeutic properties so don’t add the essential oils when it’s super hot. (You can also just use Coconut Oil and Lavender that’s what we use on my son and it’s awesome!)
You can make this lotion in the Crock Pot but I recommend using the Slow Cooker Liners! This is a oily blend so it’s really hard to get out of your Crockpot and with the liners it’s SUPER EASY to clean up!

As in most body or face lotions, you can skip the melt down method and whip the ingredients together. It comes out very thick and creamy.

I get mine on Amazon.
If you add a teaspoon or two of arrowroot powder it will cut down some of the greasiness without taking away from the moisture.
