Who is excited to start working in the garden this summer? If you do any type of yard work, you will want to check out this DIY Gardener’s Hand Scrub recipe! It is so easy to make and it cleans up grimy hands easily!
You won’t believe how easy it is to make! And once you discover how soft it leaves your hands, you may use it more than just after gardening!
What you Need:
Liquid Dish Soap (Dawn Hand Renewal Works Great! And helps soften your hands too!)
Mason Jar (or other container)
Essential Oils (optional) – Purification, Lavender, Thieves are all great options!
What you Do:
>> To start, fill your container ¾ full with sugar.
>> Add the liquid dish soap until it almost hits the base of the mouth of the jar, or about a ½ inch from the top of your container. You can use any type of liquid dish soap you have on hand. The color of the end product will be determined by the color of your dish soap.
>> If you like, you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oils.
>> Mix everything together. You are trying to get a paste like consistency, so if too runny, keep adding a little bit more sugar until you get that paste-like consistency.
That’s it! It’s that easy. You can just keep the jar on the counter for easy access when you need it. Plus it looks pretty! You may love the way it feels and smells so much that you use it almost any time you are washing your hands!
This hand scrub works great for dirty hands from working outside in the garden, or any other task that leaves your hands extra dirty, greasy or grimy.
This is the type of DIY item that would make a cute gift. Maybe an end of the year teacher gift? Just print out these fun labels, or make your own, add to a mason jar and you are ready for gifting. You can give them alone or add them to a fun gardening themed gift basket filled with hand tools, flower seeds or whatever else you find!
