How to Make Easy Crock Pot Corned Beef
Now, the process of cooking corned beef might seem intimidating if you haven’t made it before, but promise it’s just like making any other roast in the crock pot! And, you can choose whatever sides you like to put with it. I like cabbage and new potatoes, personally!
Ingredients for Crock Pot Corned Beef
- Corned beef, with packet – Every package of corned beef you purchase at the store will come with a seasoning packet.
- Water
- Garlic, minced
- Bay leaf – I like to use fresh, but you can absolutely use a dried Bay leaf, too.
- Sugar – Just a bit! I know it sounds crazy, but it works in the recipe!
- Apple cider vinegar – It does NOT have a vinegary taste at all when it’s done cooking, I promise!
- Black pepper
Instructions for Crock Pot Corned Beef
First, add the corned beef, fat side up, to your slow cooker.
Add the spice packet that came with the corned beef, minced garlic, pepper, and sugar to the top of the meat and rub in.
Add the vinegar and bay leaf beside the corned beef to the bottom of the crock pot and add just enough water to come up about 20 percent of the way to the top of the meat. How much you need to add will depend on the size of your corned beef roast and your slow cooker.
Cook on low for 8-9 hours. If you’d like to add veggies or potatoes, add them during the last three hours of cooking.
That’s it! That’s all you do. This is a fantastic no-fail way to cook corned beef in your slow cooker! I can’t wait for you to try it.
