I love this free offer from Khan Academy! Kids can participate in Camp Khan Kids and enjoy activities for reading, learning and playing! This is a great opportunity for kids to enjoy a daily schedule of 5 activities per day!
Camp Khan Kids
Most of us made significant changes to our summer plans and that includes camp. With all the changes to the school year, and everything still being determined for the upcoming school year, this Camp Khan Kids is a great opportunity for kids! This is a virtual camp that will focus on reading, learning, and playing. Each week there will be weekly themes. They include Water Week, Music and Movement Week, Animal and Nature Week, and Arts and Crafts Week! Those all sound like so much fun!
Here is the example of Camp Khan Kids: Water Week. The way it works is you will need to download the Khan Academy Kids app and make sure you sign up with Khan Academy. Then you will be sent the schedule and the activities for each week. I love all the activities and the way they include learning!
Camp Khan Kids materials consist of Khan Academy Kids Circle Time videos on YouTube, educational lessons and books in the mobile app, downloadable printable worksheets, and suggestions for hands-on activities during playtime.
If parents wish to participate in Camp Khan Kids but have not yet signed up for the Khan Academy Kids app, they can download the app for free on iPhone, iPad, Google Play, or Amazon and register for a free parent account.

July 5–9: Dino Week
Discover dinosaurs like the Diplodocus, Stegosaurus, and T. rex! During Dino Week, children will learn about dinosaurs up close with our colorful and factual books. They’ll also get to watch a special episode of Dinosaur Circle Time, do some dino yoga, color dinos, and go on a dinosaur egg hunt!
July 12–16: Make & Create Week
Make, create, and celebrate with Camp Khan Kids! Did you know that Khan Academy Kids is turning three this week? Yes, we launched this app in 2018, and it’s been an incredible ride ever since. This week, kids can draw, tinker, cut, and color to nurture creativity and self-expression. After the birthday celebration, each day will feature a fine art like dance, cooking, music, and painting.
July 19–23: Science & Space Week
Launch into science, soar through space, and discover the wonders of our world! This week, kids will learn facts about the solar system, test their scientific knowledge, stimulate the senses, and explore the earth. A special episode of Circle Time introduces children to space-themed stories. If your child dreams about being an astronaut or scientist someday, their story may start here!
July 26–30: Animal Adventures Week
Wander into the wild with amazing animals from our oceans, lands, and skies. Start with the most magnificent predator in the ocean: the Great White Shark! Continue with reptiles, amphibians, birds, and pets. Kids can unleash their imagination on their own virtual safari. Little learners end the week by making a DIY pet carrier made from recycled materials. Too cute!
