Here is my favorite Fruit Roll-Ups Recipe. If you have kids this is a great way to get them to eat fruit, and it’s a great way to use up Strawberries or other fruits that might be about to go bad. You can also make this Fruit Roll-Up Recipe using Frozen Fruit if you let it thaw out first so you can buy produce while it’s cheap this summer and then make these Fruit Roll-Ups for School Lunches all year long.
You only need 3 ingredients to make these:
2 Packages of Strawberries (16 oz. each)
1 Fresh Lemon
1/2 Cup Sugar
Start by Pureeing the Strawberries in a blender, then strain the Strawberry Mixture into a Pan for the stove. You can skip the straining step but I really don’t like all the seeds in mine
Add in the Sugar and the Juice from 1 Lemon and Bring to a Boil. Reduce to Medium Heat for around 15 Min.
Pour Mixture into a Parchment Paper Lined Pan and Bake in the oven at 170 Degrees for around 3-4 hours until no liquid mixture is left.
Allow to Cool and Cut into Strips and Roll!
Once you’re ready to roll these up they should be just the same consistency of a Stretch Island Fruit Leather or Fruit Roll Up! My favorite part is you can control the ingredients that are included!

Thank you for this recipe. My grandkids love these. They are delicious and easy to make?
HI, Do you think you could add raspberries with the strawberries to this recipe? Thank you! :)
How many fruit roll-ups did this make for you? In an 11×13 cookie sheet did you just cut them long ways about 1″ each? So like 10-11 roll-ups?
The lowest setting on my oven is 200 degrees. How long should I cook them for?
Where and for how long can I keep these?
I just stored mine in a Plastic Ziploc Container. My kids eat them so fast I don’t know how long they’d actually keep. :)
What size pan did you use?
I used an 11 X 13 cookie sheet
How long will the stay good. How do I storethem to last
I store mine in a zip lock container. My kids eat them so fast I’m not really sure how long they’d last. Mine are gone after 2 days :)
What is the best way to store these and for how long? Thanks!
I store mine in a zip lock container. Mine only last 2 days, but that is because my kids love them and they eat them so fast. I really don’t know how long they’d keep.
Could you use apple juice instead of the lemon juice? I’m asking because my son is allergic to Limes and lemons and oranges
Yes you could substitute, or you could leave it off completely, I don’t think it would affect the taste or texture very much.
So if you can omit the lemon, what purpose does it serve? Does it act as a preservative?
What kind of a method do you use to strain the seeds? I hate strawberry seeds but can’t find a good strainer.
I have a Double Wire Mesh Strainer that I use, I just got it at Walmart for a few bucks and I have had it several years!
Could you used a dehydrator instead of the oven?
Yes, just follow the time/temp instructions on your Dehydrator for Fruit.
do u know if you can make these with oranges or juices such as kool aid or something my kids really like the green apple flavored fruit roll ups but i dont know how u would make them
