Homemade Strawberry Blueberry Icee Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound strawberries, rinsed, hulled, cut in half
2 cups blueberries, rinsed
1 cup water
1⁄4 cup sugar
whipped cream for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
In a small sauce pot, add water and sugar; turn heat to medium. Whisk mixture over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, set aside.
In a food processor, add strawberries and process for 1 minutes, scraping down sides and processing 10 more seconds if needed. Pour pureed strawberries into a bowl and set aside.
Rinse out food processor and wipe dry. Add blueberries and process for 1 minute or until completely pureed. Pour blueberries into a bowl and set aside.
Using a jelly roll pan or baking dish that will fit in your freezer, pour strawberry and blueberry purees into the pan at the same time, from opposite sides (pour the strawberries to the left most side, blueberries to the right most side) – this will help keep the berries separate in the pan (you can also combine if you want them totally combined).
Place into freezer.
After 1 hour in the freezer, check to see if it’s freezing. Once it’s freezing, use a fork and scrape the top and sides of the mixture. You want to scrap it to the center, letting the less frozen parts flow to the outside. Place back into freezer, repeat scraping every 30-45 minutes, until done – about 3 hours (this time could be more or less depending on your pan size).
Spoon out some of each flavor into a bowl or cup, garnish with a berry and whipped cream.
Notes: Place in freezer when not eating. Continue scraping throughout the day, leaving the Icee for up to 12 hours.

This recipe looks great, but unless I’m missing it….i don’t see when to add the water/sugar concoction……is it pureed with the berries? Thanks
Yes you puree it with the berries. Sorry for the confusion.
