I love a pig in a blanket and this Jalapeno Popper Pig in a Blanket recipe is easy to make and delicious, too! I love that it includes all of the traditional ingredients of a jalapeno popper, but is SO much easier and faster to make! There are also a few easy adjustments you can make depending on whether you like your jalapeno poppers very spicy or not so spicy.
How to Make Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket
You can make an entire sheet pan full of these Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket in less than ten minutes! There are only a handful of ingredients:
Ingredients for Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket
- Crispy bacon – Chop this before you add it to the recipe.
- Cream cheese spread – I really like using the spread instead of the traditional block for this recipe, but you could use either. The spread mixes better to spread on the crescent rolls, in my opinion.
- Canned diced Jalapeno – Be sure to drain this well. You can use jarred or canned diced jalapenos.
- Canned jalapeno juice – Just spoon out a little juice from the can of diced jalapenos.
- Crescent roll baking sheet – If you already have crescent rolls, you can use those, but be sure to pinch together the seams.
- Cocktail sausages – We call them Lil’ Smokies at our house!
- Egg white, beaten
- Garlic Powder – Just a few pinches to season the tops of the rolls!
- Freeze-dried chives – This is for garnish, so it’s totally optional!
Instructions for Jalapeno Popper Pigs in a Blanket
First, preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together cream cheese, jalapenos, jalapeno juice and set aside. Unroll and gently press out crescent dough sheet and spread the jalapeño cream cheese mixture over the dough.
Next, using a pizza cutter, slice approximately eight 1-inch strips long ways on the crescent roll dough. Along the short edge of the crescent roll dough, cut the dough into three, 3-inch strips. Next, sprinkle the cut dough with bacon bits.
After that, add a lil smokie to the end of each strip of the dough and roll up.
Place the rolled pigs in a blanket onto the baking sheet and brush with egg white.
Dust the tops with garlic powder and sprinkle with dried chive. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the tops are golden.

Should Pigs in a Blanket be Served Hot or Cold?
I like to serve them hot, personally, but they could be served cold, too. They stay warm for such a long time with foil on top!
