As a call for more mask has gone out across the nation, JOANN Fabrics has initiated a program where they are offering fabric, elastic and other items needed to make Masks for donation. They have online tutorials with step by step instructions for your use at home, or select stores have set up small classes in line with social gathering regulations to perform these task on site.
If you know how to sew or love to craft this is your time to shine!! Get in on the action and help our wonderful medical personnel who desperately need our help! Don’t worry, JOANN Fabrics will continually sanitize the materials and any instruments you would need if you plan on doing this in store, the health and safety are their number one concern.

This mask is only 2 layers of material which will provide little protection. There are better patterns online that include a pocket so that materials that filter better can be inserted. Non woven materials such as vacuum bag and HEPA filters.
