Here is a really fun Lady Bug Pretzel Recipe for you to make with your kids! These are a fun treat for any occasion! You can make these for a Birthday Party, Spring Party, Swimming Party, or for Easter! Kids love lady bugs, and they make a great party centerpiece! Plus, these are fun to have in a bowl for all of your guests to enjoy!
Lady Bug Pretzel Recipe!
INGREDIENTS:
Mini pretzels
Red Chocolate Candy Melts, melted
Black gel frosting
Black pearl candy
White pearl candy
DIRECTIONS:
Place pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place melted chocolate in a piping bag or zip lock bag with a small corner cut off.
Pipe melted chocolate into the holes of the pretzels first, then carefully outline the pretzel and fill in remaining empty space.
Allow chocolate to harden for 5 minutes and apply the black pearl candy for the spots.
Using the black gel frosting, create the head of the lady bug by filling in the bottom portion of the pretzel.
Using the white pearl candy, place them on the head to create eyes.
Using a toothpick, create to pupils on the eyes by dipping the toothpick into the gel frosting and dabbing a small dot on the white pearls.
*Tip if you can not get a thin line for the whiskers, make a small dot near the nose and use a toothpick to pull the frosting out into a line.
