I love this recipe! My 2 and a half year old daughter just started getting eczema and I have not been able to find a dermatologist that accepts her insurance and the cream her pediatrician prescribed her made things worse.
I just made this recipe but I have a few questions:
*Where do you store the cream? *Can I keep it in the fridge for cooler, calming effect?
*How long does this recipe last?
*How often should I apply it on my daughter?
Thanks soooo much for this btw!
God bless!
This is great. I’m writing a post on lavender uses right now and just found out that it helps with eczema. My kids are all suffering right now, this looks like a great recipe!
I love how easy this sounds and I have everything that’s needed. My son (and I) have eczema and it’s worse in the winter. His skin is much better right now but he has either eczema or cradle cap on his head. Could I put this solution on his scalp as a pretreatment before washing his hair? I use a homemade shampoo that has lavender and rosemary in it. Coconut oil doesn’t do much for my skin but found that avocado oil helps with the dry flakes. Could I use avocado (or another carrier oil) instead of coconut? Thanks!
Yes Absolutely you could use any carrier oil and I’m sure you could put it on the scalp, I haven’t tried that but it shouldn’t hurt anything so it’s worth a try for sure!
Do you heat up the coconut oil before you mix it?
You don’t need to heat it first. The coconut oil melts a little when you stir it from friction so it’s easy to stir.
My daughter has issues with steroids and I found the dollar tree has Dermasil lotion and that has been the best thing for her! I love coconut oil will have to get the oils and try this!
