What could spark more desire to pursue a passion to create than Imagineering in a Box! Seriously, I would have begged my parents for this when I was a kid (still might)! So Disney Imagineering has partnered with Khan Academy to bring us Imagineering in a Box! The best part is this is a FREE online program that will help kids become an Imagineer!
Becoming and an Imagineer
We are all looking for ways to make learning fun while teaching from home! This is a perfect way to supplement schoolwork with fun and creative learning! There are 32 videos with Imagineers sharing everything from story development, to math, to physics and engineering. This really helps to create an immersive experience.
The modules include tutorials on engineering software to interactive experiences where students are encouraged to create something new! Kids can learn what it takes to create worlds at Disney Parks! Pandora is incredible! Now you can learn how to create your own world! How about designing your own attraction? Every aspect of the ride is laid out for them to design! They will learn storyboards and layout but have to think through ride capacity. So they are learning and then applying and creating!
Lastly, they can learn how to bring a character to life! I see my friends posting pictures of their kid’s drawings and I am so impressed with their ability! This is the perfect lesson for them! Take that ability and learn how an Imagineer will place the art into a movie!
