Make your cupcakes, and then apply a smooth layer of frosting on your cupcakes. Place your Rolo gently on top of the icing at the top of a cupcake. Grab your red and green M&M’s and turn them sideways to stick into the frosting. This cupcake design can be made in a hurry, I love how quick it is to make and decorate.

I always like to place my Rolo first so it acts as a guide to the top point of the cupcake when I go to make the candy garland. Plus the toppings add so much sweetness to these tasty cupcakes.

Directions For The Ornament Cupcakes

1. Preheat your oven to 350° in line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.

2. Mixed together your cake mix, oil, eggs, and water with a whisk.

3. Fill each cupcake liner up halfway with your cake batter and bake for 15 minutes.

4. Place the decorating tip in your decorating bag and cut a small tip off the end of the bag.

5. Fill your bag up with frosting and frost each cupcake.

6. Smooth out the frosting and place a Rolo in the wrapper on the top of each cupcake.

7. Decorate the cupcakes with red and green M&M’s so they look like ornaments.
