Luck Of The Irish Pot Of Gold Oreos For Kids
Sometimes I think St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t get the attention it deserves. I personally love the color green, so to get to add in decorations that are rainbow themed and green, that is always a good day for me.
Plus, my family loves the don’t get pinched wear green theme. I remember as a kid it was always fun making sure each family member had on one piece of green.
What Type of Oreos For Pot Of Gold Oreos
You are welcome to use any flavor of Oreos! We just used the regular Oreo but even the Golden Oreo’s would taste really nice, or try one of their specialty flavors. I thought original would go good with the candy toppings that are on top. Plus I can’t resist white chocolate dipped Oreos! It is hands down my weakness.
How to Make Pot Of Gold Oreos
Start by melting your candy melts, and then dipping each Oreo in the melted chocolate. Make sure to shake off any excess with a fork or slotted spoon. Then lay out on parchment paper.
Then while the chocolate is still wet you will assemble your pot of gold and your rainbow! Just allow it to set up and then dive in. Since you are using candy melts the chocolate will set up rather fast, so work with one cookie at a time for decorating.
If your candy melts start to set up, just warm it up again in the microwave and then start re-dipping.
