Salted Caramel Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Bar Recipe
INGREDIENTS: (Makes 9 Bars)
3 cups Golden Oreo Cookies without filling
7 tbsp salted butter, melted (you can also sub 1:1 with shortening)
16oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
1 large egg
¼ cup sugar
2 tbsp vanilla extract
4 tbsp caramel sauce (with added sea salt if just buying plain caramel sauce) , melted
½ cup chocolate chips
Melted salted caramel sauce for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
Line an 8×8 pan with aluminum foil. Set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Using a food processor or blender process the Golden Oreo’s until crumbly for the crust.
Mix together the Oreo crumbs and butter. Spread onto the pan with aluminum foil.
Bake the crust for 13 minutes until crust is a darker golden color.
While letting the crust cool. Cream together the cream cheese and sugar.
Add in the vanilla extract.
Using a plastic spatula, fold in the melted salted caramel sauce and chocolate chips.
Bake for 25 – 27 minutes until the top is a little golden.
Allow to cool in the refrigerator for 3 ½ hours. You want to make sure the cheesecake sets before slicing.
Slice and drizzle with melted salted caramel sauce.
