How to Send Chicken Nuggets in School Lunches
Here’s the question of the year for Moms of little ones… “How to Send Chicken Nuggets in a School Lunch“?
If you’ve ever wondered How to Send Chicken Nuggets in a School Lunch, here’s the BEST way i’ve found to keep them warm till it’s time to eat!
Basically all you have to do is bake the chicken nuggets according to the package, and then place them in a Thermos HOT with a paper towel in the bottom! The chicken nuggets will stay warm for 5-6 hours and your child can enjoy a HOT lunch from home! The secret is the paper towel, because it helps to absorb the moisture and keeps your nuggets from getting soggy.
I do this for my little girl almost every day for lunch because she LOVES Chicken Nuggets and Ketchup! This is a great way for me to send a lunch to school with her that I know she will eat and LOVE! Throw in some carrots, grapes, celery, pickles, banana, apple, or whatever fruits & veggies your child enjoys for a healthy lunch that will satisfy till after school!
Plus, if you work away from the home, this is a great way to carry your lunch with you too! You could even use grilled chicken instead of chicken nuggets. Keep this in mind if you are trying to eat healthy and watch your diet this year!

which chicken nuggets do you use?
I boil water and let it sit in the thermos for about 20 minutes (usually while we scramble around the house), pour the water out, dry the thermos and then put the HOT chicken nuggets in the thermos. Haven’t tried the paper towel method yet.
Not too sound super slow or anything haha but how do you get the paper towel hot??
Oh my goodness. This sleep deprivation is severely getting to me…i just re read the post….no mention of a hot paper towel haha. My bad.
Might be an odd question, but can you put the thermos in the lunchbox with the cold pack and drink, or not. My oldest is starting Kindergarten in a few weeks – New to the whole sack lunch thing, but I LOVE this idea!~
I do that all the time, I don’t think it affects the contents of the thermos, the inside stays warm because it’s insulated.
