Smashed Cinnamon Roll Pancakes are SUCH a fun Father’s Day breakfast idea! Made with canned cinnamon rolls, this is a fun twist on the traditional breakfast flavor that you love!
How to Make Smashed Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
You really don’t need a lot of ingredients for this one! The focus is on the technique!
Ingredients for Smashed Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
- Refrigerated Canned Cinnamon Rolls – You can use any brand, but I used the Grands cinnamon rolls, and they turned out really well!
- Butter – You’ll need to melt a little butter in the frying pan so the cinnamon roll dough doesn’t stick.
Instructions for Easy Cinnamon Roll Pancakes
First, heat a skillet to medium heat and melt the butter. Place the cinnamon roll into the skillet and keep smashing with either a metal spatula or a burger press. As it cooks, keep smashing! After three minutes (or until it begins to turn golden on the bottom), flip it over and keep smashing while the other side cooks. Continue the process with the rest of the cinnamon rolls in the package.
Top with pancake syrup or drizzle on the cinnamon roll glaze. And that’s it! Such a fun mash-up of two favorite breakfast foods.
