Stores Closing Online Websites
Well, just when we thought we had seen everything I got online to post some deals for you guys this morning and noticed that the Victoria’s Secret Website has been shut down temporarily until March 29th at a minimum!
We have all seen the list of retailers that are closing stores coming through our email, but this is the first (in what I’m sure won’t be the last) online website to shut down.
I thought I would address a few issues/concerns related to online sites closing:
Why are online websites closing?
To be honest, I asked myself the same question. My best guess is that the fulfillment centers that ship out products are probably in lock down areas and they don’t feel it’s safe for employees to be coming into work so they had to shut down the website in an effort to keep orders from coming in and getting behind.
Will orders that were already place still be shipped?
As of right now it looks like orders already placed will be delayed, I am guessing this is because they are just shutting down the warehouse completely right now.
Will we see any other online retailers shutting down their websites?
This is the only one I know of right now, but if you know of any others let me know and I will start a list of all the websites closed.
This is a crazy time we are living in, and to be honest I expect most websites to remain open, but depending on where the fulfillment centers are located this could change on a daily basis. My hope is most will remain open and we will still be able to order the things we need from online.
