How many times in the last three months have you said “I wish I could….” or “I need to…” .
With everything shutting down I feel like we have a huge choice to make. We can sit around watching Netflix all day or we can make a choice to make the best of our time.
We had to cancel our vacation, which was so so sad! But, I”m choosing to look at the time that I’ve been given at home, time with my family, to clean out, get organized, work on my budget, and plan for the future! Just because you can’t leave your house doesn’t mean that you can’t stop learning, dreaming and living!
Things to Do While Social Distancing
Take some time to learn a new skill – There are thousands of online courses & youtube videos.
Get your finances in order and come up with a plan! I know so many of you said you just “Hadn’t had time to make a budget” This is your chance!
Teach your kids to bake & cook! My daughter is so excited to spend time with me in the kitchen, normally we are running around like crazy but we’ve already had a blast the last 3 days cooking up a storm! I know this is a life skill she will take with her into the future so I consider it a precious gift.
Call Friends and Family! Think of all those people you wish you could visit across the country. Take time to Face Time, give them a call, visit over technology! We live in an age where no one should have to be lonely even though they are physically isolated.
Start an online business! If you have extra time at night, instead of sitting around watching TV for 2 hours a night, start working on that dream, start building your website or online course! The opportunities are endless!
Plant a garden! I know it’s early in some areas, but if you live in warmer states, you can take this time to plant a garden and then you will have fresh fruits and veggies to show for it all summer long!
Go on a bike ride! Spend time as a family, get outside and do things that you wouldn’t normally do if you were running around from Baseball practice to voice lessons and dance!
Be intentional with your time! Look at this time as an opportunity to grow, learn and love!!!!
