Ingredients You Will Need For Valentine’s Day Dip
Marshmallow Cream – you can buy marshmallow cream or fluff however you call it in the baking aisle. It is a creamy based sweet confection that is like a marshmallow. This truly transforms the dip!
Whipped Cream – I reached for Cool whip found in the freezer section in a tub. It works great at mixing up with the cream and holding that creamy texture.
Cream Cheese – The cream cheese adds incredible rich and creaminess to the dip that you wouldn’t get otherwise.
Chocolate Chips – mini chocolate chips are what we prefer. It is easier to eat the chilled dip with mini chocolate chips instead of full size chips.
Sprinkles – since this is for Valentine’s Day I reached for pink and red sprinkles. Depending on the holiday or time of year you can adjust or opt to leave the sprinkles out.
What To Use To Dip
- Fresh fruit
- Graham Crackers
- Vanilla Wafers
- Sandwich Cookies
- Sugar Wafer Cookies
- Pretzels
- Etc.
How to Make
Full steps and directions are in the printable recipe card at the bottom of post. This is a visual walk-through for readers if needed.
Start by mixing up the cream cheese, whipped cream, and the marshmallow cream together until well mixed. Scrape down the sides as needed.
Fold in the chocolate chips and then dish into a bowl, and add sprinkles if you want. Serve with cookies, pretzels, etc.
What Type of Chocolate To Use
I used a semi-sweet chocolate but you can easily swap for a milk chocolate if you prefer. Or even chop up chocolate in replace of chocolate chips if you prefer.
How to Store Dessert Dip
This dessert dip needs to be stored in the fridge in an airtight container. Just whip it up and keep it in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
Do not leave the dip out at room temperature for more than 2 hours, or it can begin to spoil.
You will find this dip does not freeze well due to the dairy in the mixture. It will separate as it thaws.
